Before I start playing WoW, I'd like to know how much is it costed to play this game monthly?

Pay for the game and VPN/UDP/Proxy services? Wow = W.o.W.? Sounds like you pay twice for this game.

Is it WoW costed RM30+ monthly, and average cost of Proxy service RM20+ = RM50+ monthly? I am not sure about the price.
Wondering if this worth to play and pay too lol.
Thanks.

If you like a game to occupy your time, then yes, WoW is definitely worth paying for as it will take up a lot of your time. It's about US$45 for 3 months with comes to about RM45-50 a month plus any proxy service.

If your intention of getting gaming partners, same here. I don't take things from others for free and our intention is the same. First off, what server are you playing, PVP or PVE? I still haven't check more details about PVP and PVE server difference, including whole game details before I start.

Hope I can power level as quick as possible lol. How long do you play in a day/week? By the way, I have to find ways on payment other than credit card. Is there something like game card payment in W.o.W.?
Also, finding some Proxy/VPN/UDP server to pay too.

I got super bored for already 2 weeks because of nothing to do totally x_x! After done download Vindictus, poof! "Nexon blocks Malaysian IP".
Been a Warcraft3 (DoTA) player for quite some time. Played too much of it.

Does this W.o.W. game takes a long time to hit the level cap?

Anyway, thanks for the deal you offered.

pvp = red is good to kill, and camp lowbie players
pve = run around, sits beside a pond and smell flowers with players from opposite faction
rp = I SHALL SMITE WARLOCKS WITH MAH HOL... OH!!! U!!! QUIT STARIN' AT ME BUTT!!!

there are monthly game cards on stores or online shops but price differs: shops (like a*l-it hy**rmarts) tend to be more expensive and online shops (from molpoints).

leveling is not a problem but collecting huge, huge, HUGE amount of geld is the main concern becus u need geld for almost any stuffs like repair, gears, lewts including getting carried in 10/25 men raids

well, the custom map sux due to the fair quantity of beng-bengs wanting to punch people becuz losing 1 round, i herd they are invading starcraft2... slowly...

as for level cap, it depends on how you wanna play; last time during thaurissan time i used to pause on every level trailing '9' (9, 19, 29 and so on) to get into bg and lulret some dude down. time wasted but it's effin' phun to run around killing peeps with beefed greens (and they said i play a twink toon... )

best you try the game 1st, before you decide to buy all the expension and original,
go download FULL trial account 1st.
thats a lot of downloading.
latest wow lore suck due to suit gameplay mechanism, but if you like a good story you can read it to inspire you.

while you downloading, you can study the playable class, race faction in the game.
wow.com its a good place to start. (please becareful of fake website, key-logger; update you antivirus, fire-wall often, scan your computer)
wowhead its a wow guide website that constantly updating itself.

basicly you need to enjoy the game 1st before you hit level cap.
or you won't last long.
i remember seeing some one quit wow at level2ish and said waste alot of $ on a suck game.

whats your definition of "take a long time to hit level cap"?
its currently cap at 80 and soon 85 07/12/2010
i remember hit 60 - 70 or 70-80 in about both in 3 week and a few day(3 years ago),
but leveling is so easier these days compair to last year due to the company help people level faster(and make more money in the process),
since only very small anount of number are interested in the old world content.

this year i'm currently at 60-70 catagory and hit 1 level per Working day.
58-62 or 63(4 to 5 levels in one day) if i go no life mode.
but thats becasue i know what i'm i doing, doing it more effecintly (but it hurt my eyes, soo much blood.... shocking.gif )
basicly its totally how much effort you put in to speed thing up.

basicly, if you know what are your charater doing, some basic understanding of the class you works, you'll be fine.
the game now have a build in quest helper, it basicly told you where you need to go, what you need to kill/loot.

with recruit a friend"RAF" you gain extra X% exp for everything you do then ordinary people.
remember to park you character in the major city or inn to get rest exp when your not playing, it offer bonus rest exp while and give you chunk of extra exp when you kill anything.

you don't really need proxy while you leveling, you only need it when thing gets really serious.

pve, you basicly kill monster, not player, unless they choose to be kill.

pvp server is hunt or be hunted feeling, there is no safe place
in contested area(most area are contested) you are attackable by player of other faction.
mostly they don't care what your level, they see you, mostly they will kill you.
you can choose not to kill, but you must ready to defend yourself, mostly its futile.
it keep you "awake" while you don't feel bored leveling.

rp, role playing, the server that play, act like what their real charater should be. Its fun stuff. try not to missspell word.
*IMPORTENT NOTE* WARNING: DO NOT, ENTER MOONGUARD SERVER, ROLL ALLIANCE, AND ENTER THE GOLDSHIRE INN, YOU HAVE BEEN WARN.

instance, you fare better than i do;
i still thinking how to get hearthstone, port across roads, try ride(car) through other cars
mimic some of the orc motion. some times i think i see alliance across the road, and try to hide, check to see if i;m in santuary zone.
ramdomly yell: NERF PALADINS/ROGUE" during lunch in open area.

well i play too much, and i leveld a warlock from 1-80 in 2 weeks just reached 80 today, well i play in a pvp server with most of the people posting here, we are in the same guild leveling is very easy now it takes little to no effort to gain exp, you can just sit in the capital city and que for random instances and you will level up fast as hell, or you could do it how i did, go questing, instancing, and pvping as much as possible till your level 80. back when i made my first 60 i took me nearly 1month of dying to hunters but that was way back in the 2004, now its easy because the spells you learn at low levels are really hard hitting unlike back then when the "strong" spells are only attainable at higher level's well i will be free for 3 months starting this saturday so if you want we can make a level 80 character before the next expansion hits, then we can all raid together smile.gif

Woah! Thanks for the whole lot of infos, right now I am currently downloading the trial version.
It is really 11GB which got me like "whut?!". The highest so far I had seen is 7GB sleep.gif!
Gonna take me 1-2days to complete this download. I will becareful of any fake websites, thanks for telling.

"take a long time to hit level cap" means don't have to grind way too long like Rappelz online game, which even after 6months grinding still haven't hit the good level range -.-! (Over there, fun starts at lvl120-150)
And most of the people more prefer and definitely wanted to level as quick as possible so they could play the high level fun stuffs. For sure I know that high level stuffs are more fun and many to do once reach that stage like all other games, no?
I understand what you mean enjoy the game before hitting the level cap in game, but it won't last any longer especially if you are interested in PvP like most people do(Even me). Still, I could enjoy it while leveling and maybe when I level new characters again and again?
Also, I do think that PvP server is just an extra fun with PvP system including PvE system itself. It's like PvP + PvE in PvP server. PvE server only is non-PvP server. Correct?

Hopefully it isn't way to lag, otherwise have to pay for Proxy services *sigh*

I was a super hardcore gamer for almost 6years till this year June lmao. I can play 24/7 lifelessly like I always do.
Well, I will be free this Saturday. Time?
Every Thursday till Saturday morning, I might not be able to online until December 10th or somewhere there then I am free till next year no idea which month.
Which server?(I didn't check anything about this yet) Mind naming it? Hopefully it is highly populated and smoothiest among all. If it is, coolioz let's play!
I play on trial account and upgrade to full account version, will my trial toons still exist afterwards?

Alliance or Horde to play o.o?

Note: My download just reached 5GB, exceeded "Setup" stage. I can play already? There's 3 stages, "Setup", "Available" and "Playable". It's way too much for a slow streamyx user like mine.

my advice,
do not start playing wow .
you haven't calculate the price of purchasing the expansion cdkeys, plus catac's.

on the contrary, you should ask anyone here for a trial account (from introduce a friend progrom) and see whether you like the game or not.
The trial account however, can only be played till level 20 with restrictions.

And yes, your characters will still exist when you upgrade your account.
you need to be at the "Playable" stage to be able to play.

Btw, I found one online store website selling WoW for RM85 + WoW: TBC for another RM85 at pcgame.com.my.
Got other store?

seriously yes.

for that few months (divide into few times) i play WOW, i save hell a lot of money lol

when studying, won't go out movie, other games or whatever that need money

when working, back from work terus dapao some nasi lemak/fried rice/bread and eat and play. while if not playing will go have some better dinner

so yeah, it's saving biggrin.gif

of course it won't last long for me la...usually 2 months continue like that then back to normal life, then after few months back to save mode again.

Save the RM450 if u knew chinese and u can opt to play wow-taiwan,

1) There is no need to pay for the CD key (save Rm450), there is no entry cost at all, just register free trial and play.

2) There is also two type of points card for game time in WOW taiwan, one is for monthly, which is RM52 a month, unlimited access, and the other one is RM18 for 18 hours of game time, if u are busy and kind of a casual player, you can then opt for the RM18 game card

3) Better latency. Around 70 - 150 ms consistently

And many more benefits. Visit thread below for more details.

By reading that guy's post in other thread, I rather get the box for safe with screen shot or something in the box to retrieve my account if I might get hacked.

Until now, I on my pc to download also haven't done. It was actually done download as it says "WoW is ready up-to-date". Then I close the launcher and tried to start WoW.exe again and you know what it says? "Total Download Remaining 2gb". Glitched really..

So, you see. I rather get the box with cd. I don't have to re-download again next time. My pendrive 10gb can't even put one WoW file inside. Especially, if my pc keep reformat or broke down in case.

Anyone know any stores that sell WoW boxes? Not online store. Something like PC store, book store etc, especially if you know somewhere in Penang or other states.

Is there a way to change the whole game language to english? I mean those NPC, quest, items, names and such?
Communication language might be a problem but if those like NPC, quest, items, names and etc changed then should be okay.

PM-ed you.

you can easily use any wow client, to connect to any server. either US, EU or TW even KR. smile.gif
wat u need to do is change the server at the WTF file smile.gif

i used to use US Client to play TW server in the beginning of WOTLK.
