MIGHT Be a promotion after CNY is the key word bro, means nothing confirmed and yes i do agree Digi's mobile internet coverage is far from superior but what to do, unlimited usage

Still think the current iPhone 4 specs are ok considering the fact tech will always improve and you got to ask yourself when is it ever going to be good enough? The answer is never coz it's in our human nature to keep on searching for the "better" product. So end of the day, even when iPhone 5 is out, people will say wait for the better iPhone 6. And companies fuel their business on this forever unsated appetite of human nature and make billions in profit.
Need it? Get it. Want it? Why wait? Coz it's never gonna be the perfect phone as long as apple keeps coming up with new iPhones every year. Unless they say, this is it, we are going to stop producing iPhones, then the last model might just be the perfect one. Just my two cents worth.

Hmmm don't know what u guys are using 3G for but I seldom switch mine on as it drains battery faster. I'm using edge and im happy with it. If got some YouTube videos to watch or I'm tethering on my pc, then only I on 3G. If not, why 3G?
If download stuff, better use wifi when it's available. Just my two cents.

QUOTE(DE.si.MON @ May 28 2011, 12:28 PM) 3g allow both calls and data. edge only 1 way. if you on data, you will receive miss call if someone call you. eg. if you on edge. assume some application at background running with push data on. most of all your calls will end up as miss call. Added on May 28, 2011, 11:31 amfor me i off 3g + data. didnt expect push. best to save battery. Hmm suprisingly when i on edge and use data, calls can still come in oh well, good feedback anyway agreed that push and 3g does sap up the battery fast

Moral of the story, when using something as desirable as the iPhone in the public, try not to be obvious as it might attract unwanted attention.
Be careful guys, our iPhones is probably one of the top most wanted phones in the market now and for those who can't afford it, they steal.

QUOTE(KennyKB @ Jun 8 2011, 06:20 PM) No, not useless. For those who have wi-fi at home and in the office and only need 3G occasionally they can get by without a monthly data plan. You can buy short term plans like 1 hr, 1 day or 1 week as you need it. For those on Digi prepaid, it's pay as you use (RM0.10 per 10kB) capped at RM3 or RM5 a day depending on prepaid type. I'm on wi-fi most of the time and for occasional 3G use like reading/sending email, reading news, IM, etc on the road my data cost comes to less than RM10 a month. True also. I use wifi in the office or as when I can find a hotspot. But still require 3G as I don't have wifi at home. Doubt will ever hit my quota of 1gb per month. The 3G is good to have as a backup when wifi is not available. But still, my view is iPhone with plan is more worthwhile as it covers calls and SMS as well.

wow.. i was in kajang and bangi earlier today and faced the no service problem, i thought my phone kong already.. now having read this, at least i know im not the only one.. no choice, had to off edge and 3G, if not, it will appear as no service and then have to restart phone..
digi should give us postpaid customers some compensation, RM5 rebate of our next bill also better than nothing right? hahaha, i know, i m day dreaming...
