HI all,

I got a question here, my GF wanted to get and iphone4 from digi, we got the upfront payment ready, but the problem is we both do not own any credit card, can i still get an iphone4 from digi ? like using monthly payment by cash ? OR do i need to pay all including the monthly commitment ?

all kind opinion and suggestion is appreciated , thanks
*
no credit card also can get iphone4 from digi. just pay the cash amount (phone price + advanced payment). example idigi 88 + iphone4 32gb will cost u rm2490. then, start received the bill rm63 per month for 24 months.

QUOTE(LancerDragoon @ Dec 1 2010, 11:03 AM)
How was it obvious? My gym auto charges my debit card every month just fine. The odd thing is on Digi's OCS site they state that auto billing can be done with a debit card as well, so I have no idea why the rep said that.

It's a personal preference but I'd rather not get a credit card, actually.
*
debit card can sign up for auto billing, is debit card with visa electron or mastercard electronic use only. i preferred to called it as 'visa debit card' or 'mastercard debit card' than just 'debit card'. bcoz normal atm card can also be considered as 'debit card'. other term is 'prepaid visa' or 'prepaid mastercard'.

but, this so called debit card cannot do "Option 2 : Buy with Installment (Easy Payment Plan)".

but u can swipe full mount with ur 'debit card' for "Option 1".

I'm thinking of getting one tomorrow once I touch down at LCCT from Tawau, Sabah, so that I could start charging and then play with my iPhone as I cruise along the PLUS highway to Penang.

D'Chat seems not to be directly answering my questions.

^They're not always that helpful

Maybe you should just give your preferred DiGi center a call asking for the availability.

that's the problem. the one nearest to me is 500KM away. LOL.

its just that tomorrow i'll be touching down around 1pm noon. So I have like 2-3 hours from Duta (that's what I heard that all busses redirected there) and grab myself an iPhone 4 before taking up a bus up to Penang that very night itself. Sounds very rushed, yes I admit but I've been sort of waiting for this day.

means that need to go early lo.... how about other outlets? will be the same as well??

If I need to port in.. may I know the procedure? need to wait??
*
Yeap, go earlier the better. Every outlets are the same, they can only sell at most 20 units per day, maybe if there's more time, 25 units at most. This system was set because of the overflowing crowds for the iPhone.

The sales guy told me , an iPhone 4 registration and purchasing timeline needs 45 minutes to complete the procedure. Previously when 3GS was launch, they can't satisfy every customer that came to them. In order to not lower their service reputation, they started using this 20 per day limit system.

Imagine 50 fellows buying a day, 50 x 45 mins = 2250 mins ( 37.5 hours ) lol , no one wanna work for digi d haha

Just now (2pm) went to SS15 Digi @ Asia Cafe, the guy said a lot of stock, very happy. Immediately sign up, filled up all forms.
Finally he ask me to go to collect tmr???!!!

He said he submit the form first, tmr morning the port-in should be done, then when my current Maxis show no line, then means the prot-in successful, and I can go and collect tmr. (I not yet pay anything)

Anyone experienced this kind of signing up b4? (as far as I know, everyone here get their iphone on the spot right???

But that's mean once I get my iphone, I will need to use it immediately right?

Do I need to charge it for 8 hours b4 using it? like any other handphone? Will that affect the battery life?

if no, then you can switch almost immediately calling the customer service...

normally iphone comes charged batt (not full though) for you to test out ur phone...
use until finish (dry or less than 10%) and complete a full cycle charging (until 100%)
repeat the above steps if u wish to prolong ur batt life...
