Read the local malaysian forums. I think stringfellow has repetitively said that; the problem lies with American users and AT&T.

With us Malaysians, there isn't much of an issue, except if you're looking to use a keyboard instead of the touchscreen, like me.

Anyways, since this is a DiGi -iPhone discussion thread, I would say that if you're looking into buying a smartphone from DiGi (They have various offerings) the iDiGi plan with iPhone 4 is definitely worth the price you're paying for, even if you're locked in for 2 years. the 3 years aka 36 month package is just not worth the value.

As for DiGi vs other telcos, I'm not gonna bash any telcos, but do some reading. I suggest you stick very closely to the yellow man.

I myself am coming over to w'st malaysia, and hoping that in a 9 hour transit gap, I can make a dash to the DiGi centre in KL to get my new iPhone 4.

Thanks for the reply! smile.gif

Just to make it clear, when I said my friends asked me not to buy an IP4, doesn't mean not to sign up with Digi (or any other telco),
they simply think I will regret to pay RM2k to get a smartphone with "so many problem" (they said one, not me tongue.gif )

(one of my friend even show me his IP4 --- I dont want to mention which telco --- when it's raining heavily outside (in Puchong main area), completely no line... sad.gif , and said his battery never gonna last more than 24hours, that's make me really worried cry.gif )

That's really odd, I've seen tons of review stating that Iphone4 has definitely better reception as well as battery life over all other older iphones.

Battery life should be able to last at least 1 day with quite heavy usage

Can other iphone4 users confirm this? I'm gonna get 1 soon o.O"

Me too i m interested on their plan. So i would probably sell off the phone if i sign up their plan.

On data plan only, it will akward as iphone is a phone and not meant to be internet only gadget.
Btw, They do have data/internet plan cheapest only rm38/mo...

but i see from Digi website

Option 1 : Buy with Cash or Credit Card
blar blar blar... upfront payment 2090 for 16gb blar blar blar... After your purchase, you will receive a bill from DiGi every month for the iDiGi monthly fee.

So I am wandering if i could pay the upfront payment and get the bill everymonth afterward ......

@ ahpingko aren't you on the iDigi plan? then its unlimited data. don't worry.

@danielnyf you only need to pay RM2090 for the phone n then just make sure to pay your monthly iDigi bills. the monthly commitment is monthly ...

Nah..
You can go into Apple Store Singapore now & get iPhone 4 without contract immediately.

Anyone here bought iPhone in Melaka DiGi centre?

@ LancerDragoon no, really? auto-billing means your merchant (Digi) will auto-charge your card for x amount each month.

that's not gonna work with a debit card, obviously.

just get a credit card. 'nuff said.
*
How was it obvious? My gym auto charges my debit card every month just fine. The odd thing is on Digi's OCS site they state that auto billing can be done with a debit card as well, so I have no idea why the rep said that.

It's a personal preference but I'd rather not get a credit card, actually.
