as agreed by potong,they have to use mitsu's enginer,tranny etc.
so the parts are cbu but assembled here.
wiring also frm mitsu design..
my co. are japs car makers supplier and recently join with potong..

so any u guys got the 1.8m??

well wat i'm tryin to say is the engines are imported and assembled here.
so not being build/made here.

anyway ont eh part tht inspira got probs, most ppl knws(or advised by jap car makers also ) tht any new car model comes out, better to wait after 6mths or so to have the problems rectified before that. as there are bound to have some problems here & there.
so if u want to avoid wait lo/ if not got to take risk if so happen the car got some glitches..
please take note, this happens to toyota/honda/nissan and many others in jpn also..
some are isolated problems and some are mass types..

i just got my bookin no without deposit or any of my documents for loan. but still got it on 15/11 for the 2 yrs free service.

yup, alot of units for 1.8a and thts y the 2 yr free service still applies for it only.
the 2011 units will be for march onwards or later.
now prton have news system to build after confirm order but their initial pre forecast units ready was way out of their planning..
so thts why many have to wait..they didnt survey properly for the market interest on whch variants..

it seems many SA dunno when will get as its a centralize system by prton, and based on the FIFO booking in sequence nationwide ..so its abit of waitin game. only rough estimate on possibility of arrival

go see the JD powers quality ratings for the honda,toyota n all

it seems there is a change of system in deliverin the cars frm potong, there is a crony centralize place to so called check/QC for all cars roll out frm production before handing it over to showrooms. unlike before the show rooms can do inspection themselves. there is a cost like 70/car charged by this newly set checking centre..thts why cars are delayed to deliver to customers..

guys i've met the mitsu japs wrokin with proton,
yes he didnt say tht proton was good or anythin but he came to audit us and was surprised tht the technical level of the audits is as good or better at times than the way toyota audit us. so i can say this guy is very strict and make sure the quality is assured and follow the mitsu specs

those order 1.8 a,will get it very fast as stocks alot plan before this, the 2.0 too long as mthly plan output is only aroun 300 units compare 800 for 1.8 auto

i think its internally(separate) entity but away from the production area, still need to verify the story.
says tht a group of techs check functions of the car etc

wei chill la all, let them say anythin, cuz 1 man's meat is another's poison. so cant say all will like inspira,civic, forte, lancer etc. if like tht no need varieties like last time henry ford built the model T, with on like 1 colour;black and no need to change the look or any mods/facelift after so many damn yrs cuz he says ppl still buys it.. no point arguing here or get so pissed with other's opinions ..
anyone can say as they like but if u really like/fan of the ride i.e inspira jus be happy with it and chill with wat ever their bashings..

same case, got putra manual ,pv6 so far no prob. damn nice so thts why after putra manual not many have manual until the inspira 1.8 for my craving for manual control.me petrol head n v6 also smooth n nice but still cant beat the raw manual drive..
so inspira will be my project car whn i get it

last time 97; 1.8 manual putra sells at 77k +/-

i think most of the ones listed here tht received the cars are the 2.0 ,how come? probably the 1.8 are held back to rectify some problems faces like the car audio turns on itself when just plug in key into the ignition slot. and also see if the recent case frm the 1.8 engine cant start happens to others .

i saw the other day at the 1 of the test units rear bumber had some chipped off paint at the center of the bottom bumper at the diffuse like area whihc is in black; the chipped off black colour paint exposes some white are as the main. looks damn weird as it could not be scratched as its the inner part and not exposed to any contact,,
