I was thinking to change the rims immediately once i get the car... if warranty void, is on the rim/tyre only or everything consider void? Is not fair for us right?

so warranty voiding modifications:
1. Rims          NO...
2. Wiring (eg central locking)  Depend where the wire link to...
3. Body kit?  NO
4. Tint?  NO
5. Headlight/brake lights?  No

I have commented about the car in lowyat.net forum. Gonna share some of my findings.

PRO:
Handling is great, ride is comfortable
Road noise is acceptable to my standard
Transmission is smooth
Leather seat is nice and comfortable
Leather steering wheel feels great
Ample leg room for rear passengers
The hydraulic power assisted steering feels solid. I like it better than electric assisted type.
2000cc car within my budget of <100k. At least it is a CKD Japanese car,

CON:
Door sounded hollow when close.
Doors don't auto-lock with RPM or brake applied.
Engine/gearbox noise is loud when I make faster acceleration
The stereo looks cheap. but still a Clarion. Sound is decent.
16 inch wheel..... would have preferred a 17 inch
Boot space seems small. They should have used smaller spare tire to allow for bigger luggage space.

Can't comment of fuel consumption yet as it is still new. I feel it is better to share after the 1st service. Not much comments on acceleration because still taking care of my new baby, until 1st service. Just a general way of breaking-in a new car, in my own dictionary 

Overall, I am generally pleased with the Inspira. It has met my expectations.

i think i'm going for cvt for comfort.. if got extra moolah, then just buy used evo 7 or impreza for fun 
inspira's suspension was tuned with comfort in mind right? so going for cvt makes sense for me 

my thought as well.. hopefully easier to get manual tranny by then 
can just buy that evo for track only (forgot which thread), cheaper, & can whack kaw3 at track 

Cannot, engine placement different, 4G63T extractor in front, 4B11 extractor at the back, mounting also different.
Believe me my friend, it's not that easy, i have been searching for manual tranny for 4B11 since 3 years ago, and the only option that I have is only SST from Evo X which cost a bomb.

Hi there,  newbie here, i just booked my 2.0P 2 weeks back. Anyone know how many km CVT gearbox can last? i will keep this car for 7 years and the mileage will be 300k km minimum for 7 years, can this CVT gearbox stand for that long? or i should get a manual instead for trouble free.
is it very expensive to replace a used or new CVT gearbox?

go see the JD powers quality ratings for the honda,toyota n all

I'm not defending proton, but my friend civic just used less than 3 month, the rear absorber leaking and need to be change. So any manufacturer also got bad lemon in their production line, same as AMD/Intel....not only in vehicle productions.

heck even ferrari oso can catch fire sudd

All cars the same? Just take an Ori lancer and do a side by side comparison like me and my housemate (lancer owner) did..
Proton QC is damn terrible.. the interior assembly is unfinish like.. he door panels are hollow.. the dashboard issint fitted correctly..exposed metals parts in the trunks which are not available in the lancer..
Compare the plastics material of both car.. knock on them..the doors, the dashboard..
the seats rear seats are too soft until can feel something poking.. the leather doesnt feel like nappa leather.. alot of difference between the lancer and inspira..

Can you do us a favor? Can you do for us a detailed picture comparison as we dont have a lancer to compare and also dont have an inspira at the moment to do so. Hope you can show us how the dashboard was fitted wrongly & exposed metals in the trunk in your opinion. Thanks in advance

unable to test drive, apparently the test drive unit will come later this week

i dont know about others but i find the interior is more than acceptable,if not good, material and design-wise.

all the seats were also comfy with enough legrooms all around

i can see why some ppl commented on the have-to-slam-hard door thing, u have to somewhat slam it harder to close it properly.

the trunkspace also less roomy that i would have expected,mainly due to the full size spare tyre.

otherwise im quite looking foward to test driving it soon.

can imagine myself being in real dilemma soon to choose between inspira and honda insight (and maybe forte too)

but RM800++ per month for a freshgrad? hmmmm thats even bigger dilemma hehe

guys before u guys starts flaming me just want to get things clear..im not an anti inspira person or am i senselessly bashing the inspira..
all the things i said is based on MY Own experience with the show car i saw.
perhaps u guys have diff experience on your part..

but i do believe the assembly QC is bad.. not just for proton.. but other local CKD cars.. including the Honda Accord that my father owns..

I dun like headlamps like that.. Its irritating if come from behind.. Silau lah!! Quite dangerous also.. I get temporarily blinded sometimes cause of my eye cond. (astigmatism).. So.. I kinda hate it... But nothing i can do bout it anyways.. Haha...
