Cost wise its okay for me too, I nearly wanted it. I decided against it when the thought of making appointments for servicing (as I like to go for servicing at my own leisure) and the insecure feeling of not knowing who will be playing around with your car for 3 years is bad enough, would be unthinkable for me to pay additional for another 2 more years in SC. sweat.gif

THanks for ur sharing mate...  rclxms.gif
For myself i think the additional interest rate is just 0.2% (pay additional 600++) only for another 2 years. it kinda worth it.
If their engineer is really that lousy, then perhaps can send it for others mechanic for repair... just my own opinion smile.gif

Thanks for staying level headed. You have my respect. But can everyone stop this "butthurt" word? LOL. Can't you say dissapointed, or sad, or angry or furious peeved or livid or whatever else you can think of. "butthurt" implies one gets raped from behind, and even if you don't mean to degrade anyone, by using the word, you already did.

Anyway, I think it would be cool if someone could compare the 2.0 Inspira to the 2.0 Sylphy. The Sylphy's CVT is really really excellent. I feel nothing of the "rubber band" effect some people relate to CVTs. Engage the sport mode, and it can really run! Tap the accelerator and it responds almost immediately.

BTW, there's a possibility my manual can arrive next week  whistling.gif The SA or the center is refusing to sell me the car cash, so... I'm taking the smallest loan possible. As soon as that's done, they said the car can probably be delivered.  thumbup.gif

they are stupid or what? usually u have the upper hand.

They are not stupid. I have confirmed with 2 other people dealing with cars. The bank pays out a fixed 600 comission for any loan taken. Basically, the first year interest goes to the SA. This is extra comission over what they get from proton, so... It makes a lot of sense. My only argument is my purchase is a confirmed purchase, while others may not get approved, but that's not valid since there's a waiting list a few months long for the Inspira LOL.

That word should be banned. mad.gif And I agree with you, its degrading. I am too guilty of using it in a few previous post and not going to use it anymore.

The CVT is really smooth thus you may feel the rubber band effect. But like you said, turn on the sport mode then you can really feel the power immediately. Its not that lacking in terms of power. Just when you need the power, turn it on. Good to have and not necessary you need it every time.

Give cash also don't want to sell it to you? Wonder why must take loan.

Thanks for the info. Not using Proton any more is it? smile.gif How long ago did you go there? How about service time? Do they take long? How long would it take for (a) Lub Service (b) Minor Service © Major Service?
*
Still using proton, just that after 10k km, about a year ago, all services done at SC nearest to the house. Did not require any warranty claims since , at 40k km now on the Persona. Therefore, no waiting required.

Service duration was standard, major job taking longer than minor. All according to Proton's Client Charter (piagam pelanggan) . So, do it at any other Proton SC with complete tools, equipment and diagnostics the time taken will be the same.

Sorry , would not be able to give you the standard hours for different service categories. i whiled away the minutes by burying my face onto the PC screen, read newspapers and drink up in the canteen at COE. No qualms about going there again.

Bank will pay fixed rm600 commission to the SA for whatever amount of loan taken by the customer... no matter how big is the amount of the loan, it is still fixed at rm600 for commission. So in this case SA will ask buyers to at least take the minimal amount for loan so that they can earn some additional income...

Thanks bro. I should give the place a try when I'm due for service. Do I need to make appointment or can drive in straight?

There is a security guard as you enter the gated compound E, the covered reception area where you park before being attended to. Same place to collect car after ready serviced . No prior appointment the guard would ask you to go somewhere else.
Another set of guards at the main entrance beforehand, of course.

Always make the early morning appointments. They all break during lunchtime even if they are in the midst of doing your car.
