Yes.. I have no problem to organize a gathering at PJ or other area. (My Dota gathering at FTZ PJ and I live at Cheras also ^^)

Anyone can suggest good CC for me?
So far, I can't find any CC pc's spec that support Sc2 as good as Tbun.

Anyone tried at Bliztzone? Are their PC spec good and have enuf pc for us? (Around 8~10 people)

TBFH, while the i7 and 4gb ddr3 rams are fine and dandy, the gtx 240 is a damn waste lol. its just a step below from capable on pushing ultra/high mix match settings. 260 or better yet, 460 would seal the deal.

that, and the keyboard's shift key is absolutely terribad and while i dont mind bringing my razer exactmat + logitech g19 (or cloth razer goliathus + the old deathadder so long my sister is back from uni lol, those are kinda my mobile gear) the logitech g15 would be totally cumbersome to lug around lol.

i mean, i can TRY to get used to shitty optical mice on mildly reflective surface and non-widened gaming level keyboards, but god damn that micro sized shift key is the bane of anyone used to standard RTS shift key usage. like omfg cant command queue properly or group units up conveniently

Totally Agreed. I also complain the keyboard,Mouse & no mouse pad. (Their reason is the Keyboard & mouse come with the PC rclxub.gif )
I still source around to locate the best CC for gathering.  laugh.gif

well i sorta got cut off from CC ever since i built my new pc 3+ years ago (refer my sig for specs lol, while its nothing much now, 3+years ago im pretty much at the highest point where one can go [well, not exactly, you can still dump more for SSDs and raids wwwww]) so cant help you on that.

Oh, and i may not be able to come to future gatherings since i dont have SEA account (unless sichiri dont mind, and come to think of it, he renewed WoW anyways LAWL~) and the free play week is finished. we'll see how it goes. lol.

Blitzone Sri Petaling has better spec than Blitzone PJ.
From what i gathered from my friend that lurks around there, they got like almost 0 delay when playing with each other in starcraft 2.

Netstudio Sri Petaling is using some 775 socket dual core, but the graphic card is gts250, very very suffiecient for ultra gaming for starcraft 2, but having sucks connection to battlenet.
*
not really rofl. fps would dip like mad and if its something lolworthy like 3v3/4v4/mega ffa that the gath i attended had, i would lol @ ultra.

at least 260, or better yet a 460 would be perfect.

I was playing ultra without problem back then in the cc.
1v1 200 vs 200 no problemo
*
what resolution and fps? fully 100% everything ultra?

1920 x 1080 and fully 100% ultra.
24" lcd

even a GT240 1GB DDR5 can play everything at ultra + silky smooth @ 1920 x 1080 without hassle as well.
the gt240 used at tbun are 512mb's.
*
fps?

also. graphic card ram only affects texture qualities. and gddr 5/6 are graphic card ram specifications, highlighting it doesnt make it any more faster than what it is. i suggest you look up what are the function of graphic card memory, 3D graphics texture, and GDDR specifications. wikipedia is a good start.

TLDR: no, giving tbun's GT240 additional 512MB GDDR5 RAMS wouldnt change anything aside from going ultra from high on their texture quality setting

Why lowyat forum always go to hardware discussion ^^....

I remember tbun using 1 mb.
*
he refers to gddr rams, 1mb is, a disaster in today's 3d gaming world tongue.gif

and yes, it should be 512 since sc2 suggests high, which is sub 1gb graphic card ram cards

fps is around 60 during huge fight.
and btw, i tested my self in my shop with GT240 1GB DDR3 and GT240 1GB DDR5, the difference is very huge i can tell you, the DDR5 one offers better smooth gameplay while GT240 you can see the gameplay abit jerky.

http://www.legionhardware.com/articles_pag...formance,4.html

while its:
1) beta
2) 1920x1200 instead of 1920 x1080
3) 512MB ram over 1gb (see this though if it doesnt convince: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforc...0,2475-17.html)
QUOTE
Once again, this is a rare case that we had to orchestrate in order to expose the difference, but it does show that more RAM can offer a benefit at high settings with specific game engines.

i doubt the difference would be that huge (20+ fps is fairly marginal imo)

also, you are comparing 2 generations gap of GDDR, where by there will be significance in texture rending/retrieval/allocation etc. had you compare with GDDR4, i doubt you would be saying what you are saying now. that, and the memory architecture, and/or interface aside from the gddr spec/512vs1gb size would be the one providing the performance upgrade instead.

tldr: if you ask anyone thats versed in hardware, they will tell you what im telling you now: giving tbun 1gb GDDR5 GT240 over their 512MB GT240 would NOT provide the siginificant 60fps full ultra settings that you're claiming now.

Don't mean to offend anyone but just thought I'd share something, the higher quality you play on, the harder it is to see things.

Of course that doesn't mean you set everything on low. I only put texture to Ultra and Reflection on. I turn the rest off. Makes it really easy to see cloaked units and at the same time you get good FPS.

And Blitzone handles my gfx settings well so you guys could check it out smile.gif.

i sure as hell get eye cancer playing sc2 on low (like on my lappie)

higher detail also allows me to see burrow/stealth/cloak units easier since you can see the blur effect details better. the only possible difference would be the resolution where by lower resolutions sorta "zoom in" the units where naturally you can see things better. that said, in nowdays age of gaming, who the f*** would downscale resolutions and not run on the LCD/LED/TV native res? :/

But problem is, i tested it and see it with few of my colleague, you wanna compare it with those hardware facts on the website nothing i can say also, at least i sees it with my OWN eyes, i know what's going on around in realism, while what they said are just facts.

Gonna stop now since its going no where.
*
and what i am pointing is that it could be just a slight mistake on your part, which is understandable as people dont go cyber cafes to benchmark games/machines, right? that, and i was also pointing out your misunderstanding on hardware terms such as GDDR, which i have suggested you to take up a read on wiki
