Malaysia deserves a better standing on the Fifa ranks. Akward you say? But it's true. I mean we have a number of "6/10s" individuals in our home soil like Akmal Rizal, Indra Putra and Safee Sali. I believe they could have had opportunities in Europe which Akmal fortunately did. But it's that poor management we've had. The FAM is investigating corruptions in the football leagues which is yet to be resolved and players with wage problems really aren't encouraging much talent to be discovered arent't there? In my opinion, we need some backing from the fans and supporters which much of the enthusiasm has faded over the years and this is a heavy downfall in terms of confidence and expectations from our football team. I do feel for the Malaysian team as there are really a few potential dare I say world class players around. Even Singapore (used to be the whipping boys of South East Asia) is ranked in the top 100 so why can't we? I suggest FAM re-hire Alan Harris as coach of the team and get a fresh start because I do believe we have enough quality to be the best team in South East Asia if not amongst the best in Asia. Just look at the UPB MY team under great managment of foreigners scouting talents. I think they could easily thrash the Malaysia team by a margin of 3 or 4 goals if necessary precautions are not taken if the FAM doesnt take action and stop the rot.

Er. I might spill out some controversy here but seriously the Malaysian team aint as bad as what ppl thougt it would be.
We have got SOME talent. And I think we deserved more than a 3-0 from Thailand.

FAM can talk big but never taking action. Look at Thailand's vision with Peter Reid: going to World Cup 2014. Ambitous and got right down to business by cruising into the final of the Suzuki Cup and should be already the best in South East Asia. What sort of ambitions Malaysia got? Just dont lose 5-0? The last Asia Cup was really stupid. I rmb we took on China and got beaten 5-0. They had a big and fierce striker that scored twice I think and was always causing problems againts a bunch of short and small Malaysians and until the last few minutes only I see a lanky Indian defender coming on as a sub, I dont know his name but he is certainly keeping the Chinese striker quiet and defending properly. I dont know if Malaysian coaches are just plain STUPID to do that or they just cant coach. You are up againts a team with a super striker and you are not fielding your most physcial defender? You get what I mean. Just one of many examples stupid Malaysian coach make.

Take a look at Singapore. We can take them on anytime but yet they are ranked like what? top100 in the world and we're at 160 ++ ?

Something is definately wrong. All the Vietnams and Indonesias could be ranked at least 30 to 40 places above us why couldnt we? We're not that awful. We can put on a fight with Indonesia.

I dont remember when but during Alan Harris' time we're ranked 120++ or something like that and had won a couple of tourneys. In the end he got the sack and hired a Malay coach and made things worse and pulled our rankings 30 places more below.
