Anybody watch jpn-mas? How the individual performance by the players?
*
they mostly playing as a team.... which is to drop deep and make things as difficult as possible for the Japanese... they maintain that from start till finish but patches of loss of concentration allow the Japanese to capitalize...

Japanese most of the time just passing the ball around Barcelona style without frequent sharp penetration and shot on target... but when they do, they did it with a sudden change of pace that left our guard studded resulting in the two goals... actually thats the only clear cut chances for the japanese the whole match.. our keeper doesn't have to work much except for picking the ball out of the net... both are second ball goals which the keeper already committed out of position...

in short : we tried raising the expectation for the team for at least to tie the Japanese, and the failed

i am quite disappointed with RG's starting line up. 442 formation with inexperienced fringe players just leaving it on the platter for the japanese... we could be more compact by pulling out one of the forwards for another defensive midfielders..

nope, i never expect us to get any point out of this match. nor do i expect to see so many silly mistakes by us though. in a non-physical match like this and against a passing team like Japan, we need a midfield general to dictate our game both offensively and defensively. we just do not have anybody with such quality starting tonight based on what i saw.  our captain (#8, IINM Safiq Rahim) just not able to do it tonight

now i'm not going to pretend like i know every young player in the squad but i always thought Guru is that kind of player so i was a bit surprised to see him not starting the match
*
i agree with you... i myself would prefer Guru to man the midifeld from the start myself...

there are no leadership in the team... fadli shas, muslim, asrarudin, faizal abu bakar and izzaq farris cannot provide what aidil, nasriq, sabree abu, badrol bakhtiar and zaquan adha could... that ~20% capability losty was crucial....

my starting eleven vs Chinal would be like this...

--------------------------------------Izzaq---------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------Norshahrul

Kunalan----------Safiq Rahim----------Amar Rohidan-------------------

--------------------------------Gurusamy--------------------------------------

(Asrar)-----------(Fadli Shas)------------Muslim---------------Mahali----

---------------------------------Khairul Fahmi------------------------------

the only way we can be knocked out of the games is if we lose big vs China and...

(1) Krgystan wins big vs Japan to claim the third place in group A.
(2) Palestine/Jordan wins big versus S.Korea/N. Korea respectively...

Base on Japan, N. Korea and S. Korea's performance so far, both events will require extreme giantkilling effort to happen.. but since our participation in these games is only to test ourself among the big boys, we should still treat the match versus china as life or death... just do not risk players who still battling with injury..(Chanturu)

Added on November 12, 2010, 7:52 ammy prediction on 3rd place table...

1. India 3pts
2. Uzbekistan 3pts
3. Malaysia 3pts
4. Vietnam 3pts
-------------------
5. Maldives 2pts
6. Palestine 1pts

so as things stand.. if we finish second, we will go against south Korea, if we finish third, we will go againts Iran or North Korea... your pick..

if we draw against China, we will get 2nd place in the Group A and most likely will face South Korea who will be placed 2nd in Group C.
Park Chu-Young in the squad mang

i would rather our boys gamble versus the Arabs than Hong Myung Bo's boys. I have much more confident if we can use the team that beat South Korea in the friendly the other day. Especially the defense. But our defensive lineup in in Asiad squad is filled with novices. Harimau Muda project in Slovakia does not turn out as fruitful as we hoped.

this is South Korea squad that we beat 1-0 (12-07-10)

http://kfa.or.kr/jap_renew/koreateam/km_pl...2&k_team_type=2

they are just a bunch of amateur players while the Korean Asian Games squad are all professional players. none of them are in the Asian Games squad. so, i think it's going to be a totally different story if we face them in KO round sweat.gif
*
yes.. totally .. the stage also different...

but my point is the players available to us not as good as it can be.... the squad that played vs S. Korea in Bukit jalil propably the most optimum we had... the minimum level we need to beat them..

On general level, considering Singapore's drubbing vs India, i can honestly say i can accept a 2-0 defeat vs Japan. To think that we are still second after 2 round with the group we had, the boys do played above their limited standard.

just park an airplane. that's how it should be done. flex.gif

i think kyrgyzstan can beat japan because japan will field their second-string since they are already qualified. sweat.gif

the most worrying thing is, if china play dirty football.............. ohmy.gif

RG dah bagi hint dalam NST akan turunkan team yang lebih defensive.... hope Guru will start....

Yup, just accept, u dun have other choice... the japan team player we played all ages from 19~21, many of them still play for reserved team at JLeague 1/2, this proof their standard and our standard still different even they not in first line up for their club.  sweat.gif
*
what other choice do you mean? i wont accept it if, let say, they were beaten 4-0 like Singapore had... and age between 21-23 doesn not bring tooo much difference. half of our team is U-21 ourself.

Problem last time was that Adidas did not really make a big fuss about the national team kit, thus sometimes it's only a special coloured generic template (Yellow/Black and White/Blue), slapped with a national flag in front.  However, the best thing was the price which was the price of the generic template i.e. RM49 to RM59!
*
its just a matter how far you would go to be original. If you have problem with price, there are other options.... cool2.gif

i think it would be nicer if they put the FA logo instead of national flag, more coherent with the colour template
*
me myself would buy one with FAM logo if they are available. I think the logo design is classic and color is more matching..

But with thick anti-FAM sentiment in the air, it make much more marketing sence tu put national flag instead.

If to buy your own national team's jersey also you consider 'other' options, that tells you how much you value the jersey la.  I will never consider such options, not to mention it being illegal as well.
*
As i said, it depends how much would you go to be original. some people wouldn't go as far as you.

Like I said, I have no issues with going original as I value our national kit highly, to the extent that I will not degrade it by buying cheap knock-offs and/or imitations.
*
i also think the same too. In fact i still reserving to buy the current jersey because there are possibility the would also sell higher grade version if not the player issue...

finishing 2nd hold not much advantage compare to finishing 3rd. Whats more important is both team eliminate the threat by krgystan.

i got a feeling that this match will finish as a draw...wink.gif

anyone who insist to use the game vs China to judge our team's ability is truly stupid... the game was tainted since the 26minute and our focus and objective changed since then compare to normal matches..

if you must, good or bad, please use the game vs Krgystan and Japan to do so..

bear in mind that we are only using 4 first teamers at most the whole tournaments...
namely Nor Sharul Idlan Talaha, Safiq Rahim, S. Kunalan and propably Amar Rohidan... i assure you only this four players will start a game in AFF Cup next month.. although Muslim, Mahali and gk Khairul Fahmi is building a strong case for themselve..

and now, 2 of them already non available vs Iran...

but what i know about this team, is their preseveerence.. i am sure they will maintain that vs Iran...

yeah.. compare to other teams in Asia Games, you could say that our players is 'talentless'...

they have come this far by feeding only on spirit and gut... team work... by trusting each other.. and listening to their coaches...

they have been here before... when the chips are down, they soldier on... i am sure the will do the same tomorrow..

if indeed they cannot bring us any further, just bow out on a high..

whatever happens i already proud of you.
