The father believes his son was sleepwalking during the incident
A 15-year-old student, who fell from the ninth floor of his apartment in Hong Kong, was saved - by his body fat.
Doctor said the layer of fat in the teenager's body managed to "protect" the internal organs when he landed on the roof of a bridge.
"Luckily his organs were not injured," doctor said, adding Wong Wai On had regained consciousness and is stable.
Wong, nicknamed Fatty, had fractured bones and scratches on his hands.
He was said to have suffering from sleepwalking since he was four-year-old.
His father believed Wong had sleepwalked again and fell from the apartment in Sha Tin on Friday night.
He denied that the incident was a suicide attempt.
