Between October and December of 2012, we plan to integrate the current service and the coming PlayStation®3 version into the all-new FINAL FANTASY XIV. At this time, a second free trial period will also be offered.

Among our new plans is the fundamental reworking of in-game maps. As part of this process, there will be a period required for switching over to a new client and new servers, after which there will be a large transfer of data when service is brought back online. After the new client is completed, new software for the PC version will be distributed online, and can be acquired free of charge. Character data and progress for players already playing the PC version will also be preserved, allowing those players to continue using their in-game avatars. Another announcement will be made in the future as the day on which the new FINAL FANTASY XIV software will become available for download draws near, and the PlayStation®3our full attention as we do everything in our power to provide a high-quality service, and as such, would like ask for your continued encouragement and support.

hello guys, i need a little help about the info.
i was pawn by the ff14 2.0 picture at the front page, may i know the current ff14 u guys playing now is updated to "that" 2.0 already?
are these mean
1. current service and the coming PlayStation®3
    A. the PC version available now (or this upcoming Nov/Dec after billing start) is FF14 2.0, and PS3 version start 2012 Nov/Dec
    or
    B. both start next year for FF14 2.0

2. new software for the PC version
    It reffers to the upcoming Nov/Dec version or the next year's 2.0 version (if question 1 answer is B)

1) FFXIV 2.0 will be release next year around october - december 2012
October is the month where they distribute both the PC version software for free to those who have already purchase the FFXIV games and registered into their account and also for the PS3 version.(Not sure if you nedd to buy the game or not for PS3)

Well, is that mean, if i purchase the FFXIV from now on (old/current version) and registered/played, then i don't have to purchase the new FFXIV 2.0 next year? Current account can be played/continued at version 2.0?

I'm know I'm bad for not reading the whole thing. Just a few question I wanna pop up here..

Can I ask about the latency/ping if you play on that 2 server ? Is the lag is severe ?

12.99USD/30days right ? Any other longer and better offer ? I need the ori DVD to play is it ?
