You can even buy JPN version, is no problem, EU, US & JPN are playing in the same server. The game is F2P but need to buy the CD to get the code to activate. Recommend to use US/NA for easy payment or sort incase in future you wish to continue and when they start billing.

Hmmm i'll edited the first page that the game is put on F2P until further announcement from Final Fantasy XIV team.

For now in order to play the game you will need to get the account, as far for official distribution of the game is only buy buying from the boxes, there is no Digital download nor selling of account around except from site that does sell them are not listed to be officially legal from Square Enix.

The process you will be going when registering the account will involve just to validate the payment method and your good to go in playing the game..


if you dont understand what i mean is that;

To play you just need an active account that have Final Fantasy XIV services activated in it. there two ways to get it.

1) Straight buy from any shop that still sell it, make sure you know what version is it for because the payment method is different for those 3 regions (NA/EU/JPN) same goes for account creations.

2) Digitally buy the account from somewwhere i dont know where, and is a little illegal because SE does not support this. Not sure in future it does or not. So the Digital copy of the game you will need to find other place of source because the game distribution is strictly legally only on boxes shipment and is illegal to get it via Digital Distribution... dunno why they do this.. i think DD is much far more bbetter.. maybe they want to reduce the risk of P.Srvr or something haha. But also apply the same thing as choosing the correct region with the account you gonna create for payment etc.

1. is f2p at the moment, so only buy the CD to get the account code to play... . Is worth for me, but not so sure bout you.. ^^;
2. no differences except that for payment gateway. When playing you are still able to meet any of the regions even with JP players.
3. maybe.. 1 or 2... .

1.18 is juicy, but 1.19 and 1.20 is more juicier arghhhhhhh can't wait! i heard they may release PS3 after 1.20 patch release :3
