yeah...inspira is people choice...but its does not mean inspira is superior than forte...for interior quality & exterior forte win (at least for me)
for perfomance, inspira might win.only with a little margin..thank to 4 speed for forte...
but if next year forte come with 6speed GDI engine (probability high becoz NAZA well known import car directly from korea...only change some minor part & claim CKD brows.gif ), that result might be changing....

Might be true since now the 308t also got 6 speed transmission. nod.gif

i have a few more other honda CVT dyno results too...
pretty much show the same pattern

Just wondering, for dynoing a CVT, which 'gears' that they use? (since its variable) MT usually 3rd while AT usually '2'.

CVT got no definite gear....
so go figure what "gear" they use to dyno
wink.gif
*
Shouldn't the 'gears' selected should be as close as 1:1 ratio with the engine to get accurate result?

there is no "gears" in CVT...
fine if u want gears, it is only 1 gear with infinite ratio...
wink.gif

so theoretically it dont matter which "gears" they are in...
*
The purpose of dyno is to see the engine performance right? That can only be done by choosing 1:1 ratio. Else, we don't know whether its really the engine 'power' since the GB kept changing 'gears' to optimize the performance. Just like dyno a MT car with 1st gear, the torque will be higher than dyno in 3rd gear right hmm.gif

erm you can try out your theory and see tongue.gif

i reserved my comments as i have done 1st to 5th gear

Maybe the curve will still be the same I wonder. Why not share with us. Interested to know. notworthy.gif

My theory for CVT, let say the engine got torque dip like campro, it can automatically shift down to give a flatter torque curve right?. hmm.gif

the general curve will still be the same as you cannot alter the engine characteristic....

no.....
CVT can't downshift, instead it "downshift" by adjusting the ratio... and no, it wont flatten the torque curve...

eh wait,
aint this thread is about forte vs inspira ?
tongue.gif

Why not, since the difference between the two is the GB, one is AT, and the other is CVT. laugh.gif

About the downshift/lowering the ratio, wouldn't that effect the torque curve, since its not fixed. Like dynoing in 3rd gear then suddenly change to 2nd at 4k rpm and shift back up to 4th at 5k rpm. hmm.gif Confuse already. rclxub.gif

After some google-ing

yeah, its really nice... I dun see much L logo that u said though... hmm.gif maybe I should look
around for the L logo... which I think its lame to slap Lexus logo onto a forte...lol
*
Maybe the owner think its the same logo. The 'K' really looks like 'L'.
