From my point of view, resale value is greatly depend to market drive. Just like the 2 brand H and T, even the quality dropped by >50% compare to older models, but still got people stupid enough keep on buying them. So as for Kia/Naza Forte, it is a sad case for them, of not much people wants them, despite all the good review from other countries.
Regardless of CVT or not, it is not important. More important is the cost for changing/repairing it. We know that CVT are quite expensive when need to change them. Like the C are a good example, now touch rm27000......
Now car manufacturers build the parts that won't last long. Just only Kia? Suggest go to third party workshops especially air cond. Then you will see what's the most failure rates.... N, T, H is the common brand I can see now after the P1 and P2....
Like my friend's Grandis, he bought it recond from Japan few years back(when MMM not yet bring then in). His orignal battery lasted him for 4 years and he changed it because he worry the battery can fail anytime... After he changed to local brands, it can last him 1 year+....
And, the SA that selling cars, most of the time they don't knows the car's tech specs in details....

What an another blind basher (perhaps Forte fans).. Firstly, do u own a T/H brand car yourself? If not, you have no proofs/rights/qualified to CLAIM that their quality has dropped >50%. Don't tell us you HEARD/READ from somewhere some one else. So where the heck you got this information? Show here pls. Even scolding people stxpid enough to buy T/H brand cars. Well, I guess you are just a fella who eating sour grapes and couldn't afford a T/H brand car so you are making some funny noise here. And, this even show you are more stxpid. Regardless of CVT or not, it is not important. More important is the cost for changing/repairing it. We know that CVT are quite expensive when need to change them. How arrogant you are saying that most of the time SA don't know about the cars' tech spec, so how well you know about it then?
I'm commenting as I own Korea, Jap and P1/P2 cars. I know each well. For the Korea car, I can say previous models are all sucks for the second hand value. but, Forte is another case. Perhaps, we are too early to judge him as it just launched merely near to 2 years and it really a good car compare to previous korea cars!
