forte 2.0 lost to lancer 2.0?
really bo hmm.gif

by looking at the Forte & Inspira fact sheet, Forte 2.0 claimed the 0-100 is 9.8s and inspira is 10.5s.

clear enough to say that pick up inspira is already loose to forte, mid to high end lagi no need to mention more liao la whistling.gif

btw, the overall interior quality of inspira is much more cheapskate than forte, the sound of door close is not as solid as forte, look at the dashboard...so boring...look at the radio and power window switch... doh.gif almost same like wira laugh.gif

moreover, i hate the CVT gearbox, so laggy when driving at city or pick up, it just only powerful when u floor it and hold the max output of torq but end up with high FC wink.gif

still love the conventional auto gearbox, like DSG wub.gif but forte 6 speed also not bad, silky smooth and responsive and wisely spread of torq at all range of speed thumbup.gif

Vote to FORTE !!!:peace:
just my 2cents sweat.gif

what is the kurb weight of the forte 1.6?

real world performance, the cvt will allow the 1.8 inspira to maintain at 6k rpm and the 4 speeder will be constantly hovering at 4-6k rpm. that performance loss is worse.

here are the comparison for the 4b10 and the gamma 1.6 cvvt torque curve. i think we can see which has more torque at lover revs is better for town driving.

look at 2k rpm, which most of us will be at in town

wondering why the people here always compared car with different CC one doh.gif
1.6 how to compared to 1.8?1.8 sure got better low end torq and power la bro blush.gif

why not take 2.0 compared to 1.8?

Well to be fair to Forte owners, the lack of interest in buying a 1 yr old 2nd hand car could also be due to fear. Most of the ppl who sell their cars within the first 3 yrs do so because of accidents. That fear is increased especially if its being sold by 2nd hand car dealers instead of direct owners. We will have a better understanding of the Forte resale value once we've passed the 4 year mark since the launch when there are more 2nd hand units up for sale.

Yes the Jap's surely have better resale value. My 2003 Toyota Vios is still going for about RM 42K (original price was RM 74K+) despite being 8 years old.  thumbup.gif

bro, agree with about the actual 2nd hand value of Forte.
however, are you sure your Vios 2003 still worth 42k?it was motor trader list price or trade in price? hmm.gif

becoz i juz sold my vios E 2005 at 44k to used car dealer, the used car dealer was my father's fren thus can get higher a bit of price otherwise most of the other used car dealers just accept 40-42k only...

so i believe that your vios 2003 E spec would have lower price than my 2005 E spec blush.gif

motor trader or used car dealer selling price always not the actual 2nd value of the car.just like mine, the used car dealer had mark up to 51k of selling price, i think they will have discount 3-4k to buyer at the end of the day.
