That is wira 1.3 ... 3.5k per year ..

a honda city + interest ... 5 years down the road .. u lost 10k a year..
u do the math ..
final price yes... honda get u back more .. lolz  rclxms.gif

People don't care on the cost they paid, what they care is, the price they can fetch when they sell their car... You buy a Wira and you lost rm3-4k a year, but when selling that time, it may fetch only rm1+k.... So, a cheap balia car.
But you buy a T/H for rm100k and lost about rm10k a year, but when selling time, they can fetch rm40-50k.... So it is a good resale value car....
People mindset now is, waste rm1000 to safe rm0.10 are clever, but spend rm1000 to safe rm1000 are stupid....

^Well, if the Japs have souls, they won't let third world countries to assemble their cars....
If Japs have soul, they won't let Proton to rebadge Lancer.....
Now the Japs are more interested on how many cars sold every month, where quality come last....
But this does not means that Inspira are not good... Just that have to give Proton another 5-10 years to come out a lesser problem Inspira....

Friend, taking up third world countries to produce your cars would be utilising the economies of scale. By soul, I mean the thought they put into designing the car, the technology, philosophy, etc. The Koreans are simply not on the same page (though not necessarily inferior or superior in any ways between the two). Like I said, my opinion. I just find their cars lacklustre in thought and emphasis on driving experience as opposed to a pretty shell and packed full of goody gizmos. But hey, more value for money in some ways, to each is own. TS will decide him ultimately.

I don't necessarily disagree with you on the second point, but it doesn't mean that the Koreans are any better, if not worse (i implore you to drive the much touted as the CoTY, Hyundai Sonata and you would probably understand where I am coming from).

I also agree that Inspira may not be a terrible car. I think they go around the corners pretty well. I'm merely cautioning against buying too much into the Lotus handling selling point.

Well, it is more on cost cutting and using cheaper materials.... We are actually buying sub-standard cars with premium price. A fact that can't be denied... But then people still die hard to say such sub standard cars are good.....

^Well, if buy car based on resale value, it is stupid.... And if every 2-3 years change car, at the end of day, who's the biggest loser? For me, a car life's start after 5 years where this will be a very important factor as changing parts, maintenance comes in to play...

Forte is meant for worldwide while Inspira is meant for third world countries like Malaysia... Now Inspira might be good, but what about after few years? I'm sure our Inspira will stay the same with exterior changed but interior still remain the same.....

^^^^People won't care on how much money they already wasted in the begining..... Even with buying the T and H they be the slave of bank they are still happy with it....
Like you buy an Inspira for rm80k and pay the interest of ~rm5000 and later can sell it for rm60k after few years. The rm60k is considered no resale value.
But you buy a City for close to rm90k and after pay the interest of rm10000 later can sell for rm62k. The rm62k is considered as high resale value....
People's mindset is like this now, nothing much we can do....

??

but judging from your sig...lol, i know which will u favor

Basically, I got reason to reply in 1 liner on this... Intention is to see how many fellows will fall in to my trap, haha..... Looks like my catch tonight are quite good.....
By paying extra rm6000 for Forte which won't have so much issue like Inspira currently having, it will prevent you to have your blood boils on keep on visiting your nearest SC. Now even have a person using loan Inspira as his car is now in the SC waiting to have his problems solved....
I'm still a Proton die hard supporter but with current situation, Inspira is really not a good buy. Proton have to undergo previous process in order to have Inspira's quality improve. Wira need 10 years for this, hope Inspira will take shorter time....
Paying rm40k for QC problems are acceptable, but paying rm92k for QC problems I don't think anyone will able to accept it.

now forte better choice between those two?
*
Depends... If you want to visit SC regularly, Inspira still the best....
For me, I already feel tired on having a rattling here and there car... So I will slowly survey and decide which is the best for me. I got around 4 years time as I will sailang cash on that car I will be going to buy.
Being a slave for bank for 10 years are enough for me....

Slave for the bank one think...after pour 90k++ then get bad cars add salt to the wound...
*
That's why, must think properly before buy.... But slaving a bank and get such problem will be 1000% more worst than buy in cash, because it is rm92k + 20k of interest..... So is rm112k with a problem car.....

Juz got a review on Inspira juz now, from a Ford salesman....
Acually, i am considering Fiesta too...(since Fiesta 1.6 had better climbing hill power than Forte SX, due to it's function-Hill Climb Assist, if i not mistaken)....
this is wat he told me :

Few mths ago, he organized a convoy of 30 Fiestas up Genting slopes...there are 30 Fiestas 1.6 HB, and 1 Inspira 1.8 Auto....
All 30 Fiestas climb up to Genting, in few minutes time...left the poor 1.8 Inspira alone, slowly climbing up the hill....
After the Inspira reached the top, the owner complained...Is this a car?? Is this the power of 1.8?? Useless, crappy junk!! no power!! lose to 1.6 Fiestas....terrible car!!! but since he bought it ald, he had 2 bear with that trouble....
see?? even Inspira owner himself also complain, up hill climb lose to Fiestas....Inspira had more HP and Torque than Fiesta right?? Customer still complain powerless....
*
Typical butthurt fellow that boasting around....
I've tapao few Evo and few Nissan taxies before when climbing up Genting with my Wira......
Climbing Genting hill a car's cc might be important, but more important is the skills and guts.
You have an auntie driver in a car for sure will be slow.
If I were that salesman, I can always hog the road since I have a convoy. With such not ethical way I can tapao whatever car I like and can start discriminates other cars.

^Agree with you on this... For current situation, indeed Forte are better buy for people that have more concern of QC.... Hope Proton will improve this, else people will look for others.

Basically, this vote are not accurate... As Forte hit the market first before Inspira... And most of the people do think that rebadged Lancer won't have the previous problems but once they get it, they do enjoying the old problems conveyed down by previous models....
So, if were to start the voting again, the result will be different.

Proton cars always the easiet to mod, that's the reason why a lot of kiasulang want to drive a Lancer but have no money....
Bought the 2.0P and put rm10-20k to modify it to look like a Lancer GT.... Pathetic......

Not weird, is a fact..... For me, I'll just keep it stock, be proud of what I have.... That's the right attitude on owning a car.....
