YES, it is a fact that most ppl choose proton coz it is cheaper under malaysia special proton policy, if i was rich last time, i wont buy proton saga as my first car XD, but now i wont choose proton anymore, unless they come out proton lotus sport car at 100k+ XD

Forte vs Inspira.....everyone has their reasons for the car they pick. Its thier choice. None are bad, and both are good. Except, they have their puls and minus points.

I dislike copycat feeling althought it is rebadge. My friend around me anti inspira cos of proton reputation is bad. They rebadged ppl car and say they car is better with little improvement on handling. I m speechless.

I had a teammate who had the same mentality just like you. He loved Lancer so much previously but because of Inspira he given up on buying the car. The question is... why do you want to burden yourself just because of it being a re badge version of lancer?

At the end of the day the colleague of mine gotten himself a 7 year old Honda because of it's engine.

To be honest there is no right or wrong but given me the choice i would choose practicality. Why i would buy an Inspira? Simple cause it's a Mitsu behind the badge.

*Forte is a good car as well but i'm just worried of it's electrical part failing after 5 year. hurm...

If in term of resale value, i said both oso not good....go for dugong VIOS and honda SITI for resale value...

Toyota n Honda cars, resale value high, but lousy specs....
Kimchi cars, resale value low, but worth for bucks, and are improving.....

rule of thumb is

.....get Vios Dugong or Honda City if u want better FC and resale value....period...no more
In return...you get an over priced vehicle with practically no extra features and technology..just standard feature..
No Satisfaction....if not for the T or H logo..i think better get a PROTON...some more can save some $$$$...
too overpriced...good buy if below 70k...for current price of 85-90k...too rediculous.

.....get Forte if you want comfort, good practical style, technology and gadgets and most importantly VALUE BUY.....
In return...you get value for your money and satisfaction but lower re-sale value...
Don't buy if you want to sell after 2-3 years or less as not worth it...if you retain 5-6 years or more then i think ...not
much difference compare against other car makes..

.... get PROTON if you really got no choice and have limited budget...period
In return..you get Malaysian cars and quality...PROTON BOLEH....MALAYSIA BOLEH...patriotic feeling...that's all
Heard Inspira got lots of problems too....like dash board sound, etc...and FC also not good either...

Maintenance wise...all almost the same if you go to Authorised SC...Of course if you go buy outside non-ori parts then cheaper....

If u want to save more costs and worry free....cycling...or take public bus.....END

Is it possible to find 1year 2nd hand forte 1.6SX for 65-68K?

Is there any owners so beh tahan (higher fuel consumption, very problematic, high maintenance cost) want to dispose it immediately ?

There is more vios n city selling within 2years rite? bos installments beh tahan?

I hv 1 colleague he forte just a year only and ask to quote the price and drop up to 30% for 2nd hand.
He selling and due to get Sg confirmed his PR s'pore.

But end up put at home town, he facing to be waste a big of amount for loan & interest of bank
So no choose to sell and just for keep the car when he go back home town for use.

Yap, one more thing the FC is really bad when drove in town of Ron 95 per 20 sen KM

If you really planing to use the car for long-term,
Please go for inspira.

I have no problems with Inspira. What i do not like is Proton's customer service. Usual excuses from the SC is

a) no stock, got to order, come back next service
b) this is common problem la
c) check already la cannot find problem ... but bring home problem still there OR
d) the problem sudah repair ... but bring home problem still there
d) we will call you to pick up the car ... after 5.30pm still no calls although the car is ready since 3.00pm
e) how come car got petrol smell? Ans: oh that's quite normal !!!

KIMSIN, perhaps ur friend's a heavy footer??? if so, definitely la....try go for VIOS n heavy footer it...same thing 1.....i drove, 100% city drive can quote up to 450+/- km mileage per full tank using 95 Shell....while minimum 420+/- km for other brands, 95 too....and engine nid 2 b at least 5-6k mileage to let the engine break-in.....while new stuff about Forte ECU is...adaption of learning ur driving style, automatic adjust power to suit ur needs...so if heavy footer, heavy FC lo....

He used the car go to site works and drove in Singapore town city
So he mention the FC per KM when bought new from 0.16, right now already in 0.20 sen

any car that SIZE having an FC at 16 cent to 20 cent is very normal ...

If for me i can't accepted the FC results of the 1.6cc car, if i will rather than buy the higher cc such as 2.0CC and about and paid that pay of that FC will is consider as much worth

FC depends on Gear ratio setup ... engine power to car weight ratio ..
