I've voted for Inspira quite sometime ago, and recently due to a friend of mine wanna go and check out the latest Forte 6sp and so I went along. After we spent quite sometime to check out the car at the showroom, I think that Forte has better interior than Inspira, stuff like steering wheel, dashboard material, speedometer, cd player, buttons and leather seat quality, all of them looks & feels better IMO... despite the Naza/KIA logo and the shape of air-con vent...which I don't really like it

Some people still don't understand.....
Only buy proton if no choice.....i have been driving proton cars all the while becos it's the cheapest crap we can buy due to the high taxes on other cars, etc......at the end we kena potong ....bad quality, etc... Support proton and they will take our $$$$ and sell to other countries cheaper.....what the heck !! U think we sooo blur ! now is 2011...people more smart already .... Bottom line....test the car...and buy it according to your requirements .... Koreans used to have bad quality BUT now they have improved very fast....faster than proton if u ask me...their cars are in top 10 value worldwide.... |

Wah, this question about a year d still got ppl discussing. A very very good question. 85 pages just a question!! LOL!!!
Come on, what's most important to buy a car? Speed? (Malaysia has not much chance to let u drive about 180km) Face? (Proton? Local. Forte? Oversea. Even though korea but still oversea! Wangi sikit) Design? (I do not like copy lo, forte design are very good after fixing up the body kit) Quality? (I really dunno proton got QC or not, new car come out also got minor prob such as light, aircond, reverse sensor and bla bla bla. Forte? Awarded. 5 star safe. At least better than our malaysia tin milo) Acceleration? (If compare 2.0, forte wins. 1.6 cant compare 1.8) At last, you drive forte on the road and you drive inspira on the road. I will look up on forte more lo. You drive inspira, i will look at you as proton class (saga ppl). If you drive forte, I will look at u like honda city ppl lo. Just my idea only. |

ever test drive both, below IMHO:
1. engine/pickup: forte 2.0 win (Inspira 2.0 CVT just can't feel much the initial pickup) 2. NVH : ABBA/LPPL 3. Handling : Inspira for sure 4. Interior : Inspira, but Forte win in features 5. Space: Forte(a little more space at the rear), but with BIG boot. Inspira one too small 6. Overall : engine--> forte (although they share similar gema block), handling-->Inspira BEST is : combine both advantages into 1 car |

I think Inspira will get higher resale value. yesterday saw 1 Kia Forte 2010 1.6L, owner selling RM63K and 0 enquiry. That's mean the price is a bit too high, my friend working in AM Bank told me Kia Forte 2010 value around RM56-58K only. This is just too low for such a new car. Unacceptable!

QUOTE(DM3 @ Nov 1 2011, 05:09 PM) Buy what your heart desires... If you come down to practicality, inspira will be the choice. Comes to gadgets Forte wins. Driveability/Performance - Inspira. Resale value - Inspira Logo/Badge wangi? Naza & Proton also local logo. To those still living under tempurung, pls be informed inspira = lancer with some localised parts. Nothing near proton and not a pirated copy. Legal rebadged version like how forte is rebadged under Naza from Kia. Get it? The comparison should be Lancer or Forte? Now which would you choose?
