Hmmmm... too many of such complains already. Battey depleting due to mysterious applications being loaded and running. I guess that the firmware is trying to be smart or it's trying too much to emulate the iPhone functionality. Guess there's nothing much we can do until the next fw update.

I donno how symbian manage those messenger...  it suppose no need to be in the background to receive message etc...  just like sms...  that is how it run in BB/Android...  symbian no idea...

Sometimes user provide insufficient info might lead to confusion my experience.
Have you by any chance turn on geo tagging? Could be ovi maps load by itself? Maybe use the old version of garmin that cause battery drain

turn on camera > option > setting > Save location info > No

from here what I can tell is that PLEASE check for cosmetic defects and not internal... 
and I list down as below:

1. ANY extra scratch marks Yes
2. Are those top/bottom cover been properly flushed in Yes
3. Are the screen been properly fit in Not really , thats why i request for some macro shots of the glass screen
4. Are those top/bottom labels been change Not sure
5. Are your warranty updated with new IMEI Yes
6. Are the camera module DON'T have dusk inside the lensNo
7. Are both screen and camera lens crystal clear as before you send in for NCC Yes
8. Are you previous mass storage content still intact (if the NCC done properly they should able to retain the storage content with no problem) Nope , brand new.

and if later found internal got problem then have to goes through the process again... and this round u can RAISE your voice LOUDER!!

one dead N8 here. barely 3 weeks old.

1U NCC has absolutely no stock for the motherboard.

was playing Guns'n'Glory with USB cable plugged. not long after answering a call and back to gaming the phone restarted/turned off. i tried to power it up immediately and it got to the Nokia logo only. after a few tries it managed to boot properly but it turned off again in just a couple of seconds.

over the period of 3 weeks i've experienced the phone restarting not more than 5 times when playing the same game or web browsing using Opera Mobile. i'm guessing Symbian 3 has a memory leak of sort and it goes haywire if its turned back on immediately after a hung state.

Update from Nokia NCC is that my phone's mobo needs to be changed. But no notification on this until I called them. Best part is the part is unavailable and the phone will only be ready in 2-3 weeks time. And even that cannot be confirmed!
Defective phone, shitty service..to think I gave up on an iPhone 4 for this phone. Any users still facing problems after the mobo was changed?

+1 sifu . The WLAN and 3G connectivity is the best you wont have problem like auto connect.
