REQUEST!! for 1 ON 1 Exchange for Initial Batch Genuine MoBo defective N8!!

I'm starting a topic at the Nokia Malaysia FB discussions board to "REQUEST!! for 1 ON 1 Exchange for Initial Batch Genuine MoBo defective N8!!"Hope anyone from here also can support on the move... icon_question.gif

http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=1130...06153&topic=352

As the more I think and the more I cross check with the service manual I really worry the change of the MoBo for the N8 are really easily been mess up by those un-train or un-skillful NCC technicians... shakehead.gif

Also include here the Nokia Support Discussion Board regarding the same Dead N8 issue!!

this one existed since last time, it's correct that nokia have to provide 1 to 1 exchange for this case, cos who can guarantee that the mobo wont be defective after fix? if warranty over but the defective mobo still giving problem then even worse
*
my N8 is another story... the purpose for this move to have Nokia Team aware and consider to do amendment on Local Malaysia Warranty Policy... it will be benefit for all future users... nod.gif

now all back to the Nokia team wether they LISTEN to the customers or IGNORE them as these amendment of policy will involve a whole lots more then just N8 devices... sweat.gif

Problem: Assembly error on the production line affecting a very few N8s

I think I know which company I'd rather buy my mobile phones from.

It's odd that in Europe and USA, there's a 14 days return policy while here it's not existent. I think we need to pressure our Government more on consumer rights to make it a legislative right then all the businesses will follow. It's totally crap to pay money for a non working product and end of the day, we are being given the run around.

You are lucky as you had 'connections' but what about the other poor unsuspecting users out there? Really, if Nokia does not buck up, I will be tempted to move away to another brand when I go shopping for a phone for my wife.

Hmmm... maybe I'll pass her the N8 and I go buy the iPon.  blush.gif
*
it seem like in EVERY initial release nokia devices will goes through this process... I'm not sure on these statement but from what I heard the 5800xm previosly also the same case... sweat.gif doh.gif
connection?? yeah maybe bacause i'm one of the ranger but I think nowaday it's easier to make noise out of the public as more and more official forum/support board out there where users can go in and make BIG NOISE... (like our emino~~~ tongue.gif)

I've decided to stop relying on nokia battery monitor. lol. when u restart the phone in any way, the statistics will go wrong, or erase itself. i'd say the estimates of the battery are accurate.. so that will be the only purpose i will use it now..
*
itu hanya for show only ler.... if really they wanna include a SUPER ACCURATE battery monitor just simply make a Capasity Battery Gauge like what all those laptop have will do ler.... whistling.gif

Then they would have more reason not to provide an exchange. If they start exchanging it, many will want to change theirs too. Secondly, its more economical to just change the motherboard.
*
for me as long as they MAINTAIN their good workmanship then it's ok... of coz if have some compensation for our effort back and ford from the NCC would be more welcome as we spend time and travel here & there to get it fixed.... hmm.gif

I also don't think u able to get 1 now as most of these so call 1st batch already sold out and the shipment also been put ON HOLD by the Nokia... as most ppls say the next available date would be middle/end of Dec... so for now u just focus on those Official Nokia outlet availability then it should be ok already... DO NOT go for garage sale at the moment... nod.gif

Guys,
I have been heavily researching this phone for the last couple of days and this article may have just finally put me off.

One of the main reasons why I really wanted to get this phone was because of the camera but
