does every nikon model really need a thread of its own?

QUOTE(chiahau @ Nov 15 2010, 12:54 AM)
Erm, yea? Perhaps cause Nikon has toooo many model and toooo many diff discussions and priority?

QUOTE(Kent3888 @ Nov 15 2010, 12:55 AM)
I see D90 used to have a standalone thread, so I just open a new thread for discussion =) I think there will be a lot of D7k user around soon, the boxes are vaporizing from the shelves like there is no tomorrow.

Seriously, isn't it better mod/staff or anyone start a poll to see whether D7000 should merge into D90 thread or D300/D3 thread?

We already have D3000/d5000 thread, a D90 thread and a D300/D3 thread, now the 4th thread is making this subforum very messy...

QUOTE(freddy manson @ Nov 15 2010, 06:19 AM)
have u been to the threads?
u go to d90 thread, they're talking about d7k, d300s and d3..
the same goes to d5000/d40 thread..
only a few talk about the respective model..
mostly are talking about accessories, talking about comparisons, etc..
go and read the last 5 post from each thread, and u'll see what i mean..
+1 here..
look at Sony, they have 3 different camera, the alpha SLR, the NEX, and the SLT..
but they just recently (after quite some time being released) broken into alpha and NEX thread..
but the SLT is still in the SLR thread discussion..

mod should have a look at this phenomenon..

So should I start the thread to have all in one ? smile.gif

Last time when I asked you all, Nikon ppl wants each thread of their own. Canon and Sony wants all models to be in the same thread. So this is how is it until now.

Now you guys want to merge all Nikon. Please make up your mind or do a poll. I will proceed from there smile.gif

Agree with you, but eliminate the "Beginner", "Semi pro" & "Pro" is more appropriate.

Instead of classifying based on classes, I'll propose based on the camera category; full frame and APS-C.
