my family own one of those, not the xsara picasso MPV version. Overall I would say quite reliable as no electronics or mechanical failure so far in 2.5/3 years of owning it. Just change oil and air filter. Build quality is superb for the price u pay. , feels like a really solid car on the road.

Power, don't expect much from it. 90ps from a heavy car like that, not very good for spirited driving.

Make sure u get a good mech to inspect the car, as usual so that you don't get a lemon, alot of headache if u buy one with problems.

yeah i am looking for the 4 door or the station wagon xsara and not the picasso
may i know what is the price of the parts that u replace so far ????

yeah I own the station wagon version... checking my car's service record, the only things I changed are air the air filter, engine oil filter and engine oil. Some wear and tear parts also(not necessary).

air filter - RM28
oil filter - RM24
engine oil - shell 5w-40 @ carrefour RM150

wear and tear parts(not inclusive labour):

brake pads (front) - RM175
timing belt - RM135/155(handwriting cannot read properly)
Timing belt bearing - RM70

The car suprisingly maintainence not that high...

Fuel consumption im not sure as im not the one that drives it usually.

Hello guys im an ex owner of the citroen xsara mpv. What can i say is this car suck. Tons of problem n cost more than 2 k each repair. Bought 110k sold only 40k after 5 years use

got brookland motor
offical citroen servise center
of course part more expensive being euro car
but for me worth it
better than our local p1 p2 crap
but finding 1 very hard
which model u looking the mpv picasso or hatchback version ???

Xsara is kind of rare and it was priced at around ~91k when it first came out. But i think FC wise if you are looking at this, might not be a very good idea..and its quite an old car..rear passenger window still use hand to pusing despite having that price tag 10 years ago
