Hi fellas, I want to print my daughter's aqiqah kenduri shoots into a hardcover album. Mind telling what are the things that i need to prepare and where can i get good bargains for it. My primary concern is i edit it on an uncalibrated notebook. Does the output will be different too much? Here's an example.

QUOTE(shootkk @ Dec 8 2010, 04:01 PM) Naruto : Best is you find a printer first and then test print a few pics. Then if output is acceptable then only place the order for the album. But different printer have its own setting right? Im using Epson Tx100 and the output is different with when printing using canon's printer.QUOTE(Mr.Wang @ Dec 8 2010, 04:04 PM) If I were you, I'd print that photo in small size first to see whether I am satisfied with the colour. If satisfied, then I will proceed with the hardcover album. Any shop in mind? Im around Kelana jaya.I bet the printed photo will be slightly different from the photo you edited on you laptop. QUOTE(ComradeZ @ Dec 8 2010, 04:06 PM) I see. Need to find a printer shop first. What resolution do i need to bring? Is the original resolution is ok ? (3449x2592) Thanks. |

QUOTE(Mr.Wang @ Dec 8 2010, 05:34 PM) Its ok. But IMHO with the digital age the digital photo seems abit disconnected already. I've started a black and white print and a photowall since its much nicer than digitial copy.QUOTE(zstan @ Dec 8 2010, 05:45 PM) i am going to print a photobook for a royalty at ss2 fotozoom. Thanks for the suggestion guys. So the plan now is to print online first and see if it comes up ok. Many thanks for the input.if it turns out nice, then maybe u can go there la. if not, erm, good luck to me. |

My extension tube arrived today.
![]() Overcompensating - you're doing it right As mentioned by sifu-s here, focusing can be a b*tch when the tube is stacked up full and lens is full zoom length. But its lots of fun haha. ![]() Shooting one with one hand only ok tamat useless spam saya. |

QUOTE(8tvt @ Dec 14 2010, 09:27 AM) Zoom out to 200mm focus to infinity then add raynox dcr250 for extra umph Here's the idea of extension tube : The farther away the lens is, the closer the focus, the greater the magnification, and also the greater the loss of light (requiring a longer exposure time). Lenses classically focus closer than infinity by moving all optical elements farther from the film or sensor; an extension tube simply imposes this movement. Citation - Wikipedia |

QUOTE(rehohk @ Dec 14 2010, 11:33 AM) tq for the clear answer..anyway, when i set lense to MF, and zoom..the pic cn be seen clearly, but i hav try to make bokeh before by turning the fronf of the lense..but all the pic became blur..is the any setting that we cn set the subject clear, only bckgrnd blur? That is manual focusing. It depends on the distance between your lens and the subject. Each lens have its own MFD (Minimum Focus Distance) if its too close than everything will become blur. |
