zeipher: Somehow I imagine the original red to be preferred over this processed look.

gjtan: Times 1.5 that is.

mastering89: Nice, love that there is the drain and cleaner there!

zstan: Try it - CPL filters do work on some metallic surfaces.

I would like #1 with like +1 EV. And #9 in landscape format, probably without the big tree on the left. #15 feels a bit imbalanced.

I like #16 but more straight on... this feels a bit imbalanced too.

To take moon shot - use low ISO and small aperture. Better if you put the cam on a tripod.

For the seaside pic, meter for the background and let the flash light up the faces.

blowsh : No need f10 lar... f8 can ady... but make sure you can stabilize the camera.

Aiyak! I'm not too familiar with A230. Perhaps you need to read the manual on how to lock the exposure. Basically I point the spot meter area to the blue sky and press the AEL button to lock exposure. Then I recompose and shoot but I heard that A230 don't have an AEL button so I don't know if you can do it any other way. Maybe in the menus or something. Anyone can help?

Worst come to worst, take a meter reading of the sky. Switch to manual mode and then replicate the settings and shoot with flash on.
