QUOTE(shootkk @ Dec 14 2010, 12:23 PM) Well, I don't have many advanced tools but here's a pic I took using the ancestor of the Alpha - the A100 shootkk, total WIN la that pic.. lol» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « It's not a particularly good pic I must admit but I took this shot just using the A100 and F58 flash mounted off camera & triggered by the ancient A100 using the pop-up flash. I'm wondering if you could do the same just using a Canon 550D and a 580 EX II flash? anyway, those cheap triggers tend to misfire/don't fire at all sometimes as i've tested on other brands out there. Sony's WL on the other hand so as long there's a LOS, i've never had an issue with them before (apart from battery on flash is still recharging la of coz) why do nikon only limit CLS on higher end models anyway? if they already have the tech, why not implement it all across their new range of bodies? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « valve_300b, come, do show us some awesome shots that you've taken, wow me... it's been some time since i've been WOW-ed by someone who actually walks the talk... QUOTE(vikingw2k @ Dec 14 2010, 12:54 PM) Good adapter, but does that mean it's better than the SAL-f28 a true fisheye lens? If it's not better it means what I said is true. Read my sentence carefully. taking the price into consideration, i'd say the adapter is a heck lot a fisheye in it compared to the 'true fisheye lens'... and mind you, please dont mistaken me for the so-called fisheye filter.. those are pointless...This post has been edited by lwliam: Dec 14 2010, 01:10 PM |

QUOTE(ahtiven @ Dec 14 2010, 01:11 PM) speaking of fisheye lens, i really interested in one. samyang's fish eye is MF only, but given that the DoF on an 8mm is very deep, there's not much to worry about OOF shots. and its very much cheaper as well.is the samyang 8mm fisheye by cjlai a good substitude to sony's own on aspc bodies? fisheye is teh art yo! |

QUOTE(ComradeZ @ Dec 14 2010, 01:16 PM) read his earlier post carefully. since when did i say i was replying to his earlier post? i was merely talking about the difference in IQ btwn the adapter and and SAL (and filter, of course)... you, my friend, have to learn how to read properly yourself before replying what other ppl wrote You guys misunderstand quickly before realizing what is he trying to say. and sony is good video equipment which I always use while shooting short films and stuff. Nonetheless, if they upgrade the feature in VG10 I'm surely to grab as soon it is release |

8tvt, i love the fisheye, but its a special effect lens. Unless your budget allows it, i'd recommend getting something wider than 16mm if you really want wide. You cant expect putting on a fisheye and off you go the entire day with it. Whereas with an UWA, you can.
