Hi,I own a Tokina 11-16 f2.8,hmm...I would say wide angle is nice and give you a totally new view through the lens. You should try any UWA lenses out,but please mind the poison  tongue.gif

if no poison how i want to know tongue.gif
what the option that we have?

i don't favour fish-eye just normal one..

eddybeh : in what condition need largest aperture?
since i think the UWA most of the time need smaller aperture.. so the largest shouldn't be a prob right if abit soft?
coz not normally use it..

8tvt: well, wide open usually use for low light. on apsc, 24mm is almost human eye's range, so oso can b half or full body portrait lens ad. but beware of distortions at the corners, it may ruin ur portrait haha... using for portrait u wan bokeh then can use bigger aperture. it's very flexible actually, tat's y i use it more than my kit lens n i even sold of my kit lens. XP
*
is ok.. for that range can use kit lens or prime..

need wider lens for most panoramic view.. so can set F4-F8 like that..

don get wat u mean here. XP in weddings, better u bring wide lens lo, coz crowded and limited space ma.
*
oh 18mm still not enough eh?
not often go to big² wedding place.. so not thinking to go wider than that.. blush.gif

but still can use >F4 right? still need smaller aperture for a group pic..
i won't see the softness on largest aperture to be an issue..

if need bokeh, i rather use prime..

the gundam? need to use smaller aperture?
that one using 50mm F2.8..

still not really sure which aperture to set in certain distance to give more better pic.. unsure.gif

8tvt, smaller aperture means bigger F.number...
I think if animate object, maybe can use F5.6 and adjust the shutter speed to control the lighting (exposure).
k later will try >F4, i thought use it wide to create more bokeh..
never expect it turns to shallow DOF..

Huh? Panorama? Usually it's to show a skyline of a place or to show a large expense of landscape. I normally just put the horizon on the lower one third of the frame and then shoot. Determine the start point and end point and just shoot away lor... I have no special rules.

Set to f8 or f11. Focus to infinity or somewhere in the middle of the frame. I usually do horizontal panning lor. Vertical panning I think you should just focus on one subject. Either tower or tree or mountain.

If you have too many conflicting lines maybe you should consider if panorama is the best way to shoot it.

horizontal lines is ok, as u know some lens has distortion on the vertical, diagonal also having some effect..
with that involve making the pic like senget² one haha..

just cannot decide whether need to focus on center and just leave it be the vertical lines senget².. rclxub.gif
or maybe got some tips to focus on the middle, right, left lines etc..

i don't have UWA.. so using kitlens looks it half done.. like pre-cropped pic.. sweat.gif

k later try².. really need practice.. normal lanscape also give some headache working with lines.. so i just focus at center la.. make sure the horizontal lines 2 3rd from the bottom..

if let say the tree or 'tiang' all senget² ok ar as long as prioritize on horizontal lines and converging lines? biggrin.gif
