QUOTE(8tvt @ Dec 9 2010, 08:59 PM) er.. if reduce the flash power still cannot? cannot, because still 2 different colours ma.if let say put orange.. won't the body become more orange? yes it will be orange, so now all i have to do is adjust my WB to tungsten then its back to normal. example of a pic without the flash gel which kena bomb by albnok last time u see the face white white but hands all yellow. |

Tamron has announced the 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD superzoom lens, the first to incorporate the company's Piezo Drive (PZD) technology that promises faster and quieter autofocus. A completely revised, smaller and lighter version of the popular AF 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC LD Aspherical (IF) Macro, it offers an enhanced Vibration Control (VC) image stabilization system, uses a new optical formula with fewer lens elements and takes 62mm filters. The lens will be available in Canon and Nikon mounts from December 20 followed by a Sony version next year.
ok guys we have a new term to learn~ piezo drive (PZD) = SSM = USM = SWD = ..... added pic: ![]() This post has been edited by zstan: Dec 10 2010, 11:04 AM |

QUOTE(kopitiam @ Dec 10 2010, 10:58 AM) nope my 1870 is in my drybox 24/7 now _________________ fellow sifus.. can help explaining the difference between standing wave motor and travelling wave motor in layman's term? QUOTE A standing wave ultrasonic motor utilizes high-frequency voltage to extend and turn the Piezoelectric (Piezoceramic) element, thus moving the entire element in a standing wave movement. The metal tip is the contact point of the element to the rotor, and moves in an elliptic motion from the swiveling motion of the moving element, and the friction from this motion turns the rotor. Standing wave ultrasonic motors have the distinct advantage of being smaller than their traveling wave counterparts, and therefore allow a more compact SLR lens size. my brain cannot compute. QUOTE(mastering89 @ Dec 10 2010, 11:16 AM) more expensive da better not really.lenses are expensive because of the glasses/elements used , different calculation (optics) , more/less coatings and thousands more to consider. thats why its expensive and good. i'd prefer the minolta/sony 24-105 f/3.5-4.5, seems as sharp as the 16105 with slightly larger aperture at end focal. the minolta 28-135 is also one of the best, some say a hidden G lens A standing wave ultrasonic motor utilizes high-frequency voltage to the new nonac 70-200 f2.8 IS II cost about twice the one without IS, and almost 1.5 times more expensive than our 70-200G. does it mean its much much more superiorly optically better than its predecessor or our sony lens? |

QUOTE(8tvt @ Dec 10 2010, 11:25 AM) ok now i got the picture why it cost more.. there's more disadvantage than advantages i can think off..thanks for enlighten me up! btw.. it there any advantage if the lens using bigger filter size? more chances of vignetting..more expensive filters... lens require bigger filter size is because they need a bigger body to fit all the elements, AF motor and the image stabilisation mechanism..which makes them more heavier and bulky... |

QUOTE(viruz019 @ Dec 10 2010, 06:28 PM) @Mike, Wouldn't mind getting it from you but then that'll be around February, cause i'm not around Malaysia right now >< quote from one of the famous seller here, gstrapinuse:BTW, anyone knows what's the most obvious ways to check if a lowerpro bag is fake? also, if i order lens from other country and ship it to malaysia, are there any taxes? QUOTE Guys, do not trust articles online that tell you how to differentiate an original Lowepro or an immitation 1 coz they no longer valid. You know why? Once its posted online, not only buyers can read, all immitation manufacterers also can read, they will copy exactly coz they already know what are the differences, what are the safer option as a smart buyer? Only buy Local Warranty stuff ^^ |

QUOTE(viruz019 @ Dec 10 2010, 06:39 PM) Haha, i do agree with that quote. i dunno bout brunei, but the cheapest lowepro bags can be found at singapore. But then the sad thing is.. I'm at Brunei right now. And if im not wrong, there is no distributor for lowerpro bags in Brunei thus the expensive price tag for the bags. Just want to make sure that what i'm buying is real else i'm just gonna waste my money T_T |
