Should I get the SGP Neo Hybrid A Series? I felt it and the silicon case on the back is very soft.. And reading many reviews regarding the bottom part of the frame snapping so easily scares me..

Is it recommended to get it?

Or just get the bumper type like the EX series?

yup that's right. it came with my casing. does yours have a hole at the apple logo area? coz i was thinking of applying a layer of clear back protector underneath the carbon protector.

here's a picture of the back protector exactly like mine:

I ordered an OtterBox Reflex Series for my iPhone 4.

I checked it and it has some sort of air in between the case and the phone where if you dropped the phone, the corners which are the 'reflex' zones will act as a car bumper and bounce off the ground leaving your phone harmless..

If interested, go and order from him http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry34764924

You can check more information on the case here http://www.otterbox.com/reflex-series-case...default,sc.html

Will put up my review once I receive it soon smile.gif

Here's the case I just bought last week from the user xavinlyn

Name: OtterBox Reflex Series - Black

As you can see the case covers the phone entirely except for the silent button. The volume buttons are replaced by the rubber section of the case providing good feedback when pressed but it requires a bit of strength. The sleep/wake button is covered as well and same like the volume buttons, it requires strength to press but this is fine with me.

The main feature of this case is that it has 'reflex' zones at each corner of the phone providing the function of a car's bumper when dropped to the ground. It takes the hit but bounces back thus protecting the phone from cracks and damages. I tested it by dropping and true enough, it actually bounces to another corner and finally landing softly on the ground.

I recommend this case to those who drops their phones frequently but this case is NOT waterproof!

P.S It doesn't give any room to screen protectors and invisible shields or screen guards so remove them first before putting this case on. My SP peeled off when I was sliding this case on my phone.

The models available for this case is
- iPhone 4 (Previously there was a debate going on with the White iPhone not compatible for the iPhone 4 cases as it was claimed to be thicker but this case is definitely compatible)
- iPod Touch 4G
- BB Curve 8500/9300

Features: Reflex zones on each corner
Slick exterior
Easy snap on access for docking
Button actuators (Volume and sleep/wake)
Hybrid case - Polycarbonate molded with TPE rubber)

It is a slider case, it separates in the center of the phone so you can take it off and put it back easily.

Pros
- Durable and sturdy
- Sleek design
- Doesn't trap any lints or dusts on the exterior

Cons
- Volume and sleep/wake buttons hard to press (not a big problem for me)
- Peels off screen protector when putting it on, doesn't support any form of screen protectors (unless cut smaller than the screen).
- Phone feels a bit bulkier and heavier
- More expensive than many other cases
Personally, I feel that this case is good, worth the money I paid for as it proved to protect my phone when I dropped it a few days later.

Price : RM190 (available from http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...#entry34764924)

It is not stated in his topic but you can contact him if interested..

OtterBox is known for protecting the iPhone very well.

Griffin is now competing with them by releasing the Survivor series

It looks sleek and rugged but presumably bulky because of the 3 layer protection..

But you can't put it underwater  cool2.gif

It's waterproof but not as the Lifeproof case.. tongue.gif

In my opinion, it's too rugged to a point then it might "scare" some users away. sweat.gif

What do you mean by "scaring" some users away? blink.gif

So what case would you recommend for a Iphone White?  smile.gif

If you want extreme protection then you can get this but you want light protection then the SGP Neo Hybrid Series will be suitable. smile.gif

I will get this if I am in the military.  biggrin.gif

Heh, it's designed and tested to meet or exceed US and UK military standards so I think the army will use this case lol laugh.gif
