Hey everyone, Sorry but I'm going to ask a question that is probably being asked a million times already I just got my iphone 4 and I'm looking for the ultimate protector to protect my iphone from drops, scratches etc. I watched on youtube on the Apple's bumper case and the kid throwing the phone down from few feet and seems to protect the iphone pretty well. I saw some of the Blade series casing in this thread, it looked very stylish but I'm wondering if it's better than the original apple bumper case in terms of protection. Anyone can recommend me a case that will truly protect my iphone, of course having it look stylish is a plus but my priority will be on protection from falls, scratches etc. Thanks!! Added on December 4, 2010, 4:17 pmHmm Just saw otterbox defender, it's really bulky but seems to be able to protect my phone for drops.. any comments? QUOTE(llsphinxll @ Dec 4 2010, 04:46 PM) yeah you're right, this has proly been asked numerous times. haha everyone kinda comes here to seek the answer to that question. im currently using the original apple bumper case. not sure if it wud actually survive a fall, but it does protect the phone, the chrome part at least. bad side is it leaves the back exposed, meaning you wud need to get a protector to stick on the back. i recommend something that is a balance between protector and authenticity, bcos you dont wanna lose your iPhones looks just bcos you wanna protect it. haha thanks for the reply. I'm really not much of a enthusiast when it comes to gadget n stuff so I can't really be bothered with experimenting with various items. I just want something to protect my iphone from drops, scratches etc. I don't really mind if it made my iphone4 look horrible as long it can really protects it. Since I'm going with ugly already, can the Otterbox defender really protects my iphone4 or is there better option (even though it may look ugly)

I was about to go with Otterbox defender but felt it's a little overkill like Mr. Synch said, plus it look very bulky. I checked out the Otterbox Commuter and it looked good but there's some mix reviews about the silicon is loose and after sometime it'll get even more loose and the buttons will be hard to press.
Anyone else can recommend me a good case that focus on protection from drops etc, style and look can come second or third. Ideally someone who has personal experience with the product
