Yup its trueJust put down an order for otterbox commuter case for ip4 on ebay usd $22.95 + $6 shipping, will definitely post feedback once I got it! The only BEST IPHONE 4 case in the market is otterbox commuter case and the defender series Commuter case series are for people going shopping or going somewhere that is is not oily places or wet or higher grounds Defender series which i think is the best but it cost 40$ USD , it has a bumper case for you , screen protector , super anti shock metalic case and another case to cover your screen or act as a stand These are the only best cases for iphone 4 but if people are using their parents money or unemployed losers can go for cheaper and noob products by other companies that broke or easily spoil and not worth the money This post has been edited by Polytechnic: Dec 10 2010, 10:38 AM |

look what i found. Short Writeup on Blade Bumper
QUOTE Well first let me say that I have no stake in this aluminum induing antenna reception war breaking out on this forum and I decided to buy this last week, based on how it looked when I saw it discussed in this forum. This is my first aluminum case. It took about a week to arrive via airmail from Korea. I got the case a few hours ago and decided to put it right on. I like the way the case looks but to be honest, I am not crazy about how it feels in the hand. The edges are very uncomfortable thanks to the back piece that screws on. It's sort of like the corner pieces intentionally protrude out into your hands. It feels kind of like a thorn is pushing into your hand. Just for anyone who is confused the back art is not part of the case, its a Gelaskin. As far as the reception issue, I can say without a doubt that one exists. How serious it is though, I am not sure? Without the blade case, in my apartment I constantly get 4 bars. (I have been using a clear inCase case) I live on Oahu which is saturated with coverage and surprisingly, AT&T here is very good. The point being that I live in a strong coverage area. After putting on the blade case (with my phone in the exact same location as where I was getting 4 bars) I get 1 bar, while occasionally seeing the phone jump to 2 bars. Even with 1 or 2 bars, I could still get accurate GPS, strong Wi-fi and 3G with no problem, but at the very least the indicator showed a substantial decrease in cell strength. After putting on the case, I went out to eat near my house and never went to searching mode and would generally see 3 bars and occasionally 4 while still maintaining good GPS and 3G service. I didn't attempt any voice calls but text and internet worked fine. The only cosmetic issue I noticed was the buttons are a little loose and mine shake around and cause a rattle. The kit comes with little padded stickers that may go on the buttons to reduce the shaking but I haven't put them on yet. I am going to try the case for a week and see how it goes. The biggest issue, I foresee is how uncomfortable it is to hold. I am sure opinions on all this, will vary from person to person in this thread but I just wanted to share my initial thoughts. And now enjoy the pics This post has been edited by cherrie_brand: Dec 10 2010, 10:43 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

I'm not the one having the case. Just finding reviews from other forums.
here's another one. QUOTE Just received my case a couple hours ago.I got the silver one. Looks very nice, fit and finish are excellent. The finish is very similar to that of the Vapor 007.The back piece is fine, very flat against the glass except at the corner where the screws are, it could get a little uncomfortable because of the sharp edges. As for signal and wifi, if I'm down in my basement i lose about 5db but if outside no signal loss, full five bars and wifi is unaffected. As for GPS, it's nonexistence. It kills me gps completely.I just tested it with TomTom,cannot pick up my location at all.Once it found me it would be atleast 1000 feet away and it would jumps around never have a lock on me.So if you're planning on using the GPS I suggest you stay away from this case. Here are a few pictures of the all silver with the ebay aluminum back. I think it matches perfectly. Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(Polytechnic @ Dec 10 2010, 10:22 AM) Yup its true Actually the commuter series have rather mix reviews, especially the fitting of the phone but I really can't see any viable alternatives. I wanted a good compromise between protection and bulkiness, the defender is just a little overkill fer me..The only BEST IPHONE 4 case in the market is otterbox commuter case and the defender series Commuter case series are for people going shopping or going somewhere that is is not oily places or wet or higher grounds Defender series which i think is the best but it cost 40$ USD , it has a bumper case for you , screen protector , super anti shock metalic case and another case to cover your screen or act as a stand These are the only best cases for iphone 4 but if people are using their parents money or unemployed losers can go for cheaper and noob products by other companies that broke or easily spoil and not worth the money Btw, just received my power support anti glare and installed it onto my ip4 The installation is rather easy, I do it in my bathroom since they say the shower steam will help reduce the dusts flying around. Anywho so far so good! The surface is really smooth which makes navigating around and playing games easier, the film clears off any smudges and sweats immediately. As for the retina display, didn't notice any major difference.. then again I'm not really anal about these kinda minor stuff Looking forward in getting my otterbox commuter! I dont Why would you go for a aluminium case whcih destroy you signals ? I bet you are having issues while internet. QUOTE(wzseow @ Dec 10 2010, 02:12 PM) hey guys, i currently have the iphone 4 bumper, i'm looking for a screen protector. Id say no. Im using zagg for my MBP n i cut the leftover pieces to protect the sides of my iphone lol (no need to spend more money haha). But the texture is not nice, got orange peel effect, n dust will get stuck to the cornersshould i go for zagg invinsible shield? it's kinda costly though, but if it does the job well i'm willing to spend. or are there any other recommendations? thanks in advance. |

i got no issues with signal strength but yeah... i think i might have issues with GPS. papago never seems to lock on proper, but google maps is fast and no issues tho. will investigate more.
neve use it extensively tho. will give it a spin. i am tethering right now on 3G so far so good. i have no issues with the loose button, mine was perfect. no rattling or whatever. and that back brush alluminium backplate.. omfg! i want! This post has been edited by lordie: Dec 10 2010, 06:26 PM |
