QUOTE(lordie @ Jan 6 2011, 03:37 PM) My Vapor caused my GPS to go haywire.. most of the time it won't be able to lock on to my position.I compared side by side with a naked iphone and with my vapor-iphone... the naked one had it's GPS position locked in 5-10 seconds, the vapor either took forever or never got a lock. |

QUOTE(fuiyo @ Jan 6 2011, 10:55 PM) Yeah... to show u what i'm talking about. Here's a photograph of the 'Oleophobic' I got... Rainbow effects... and SCRATCHES... And the packaging is top notch too... Added on January 7, 2011, 10:50 am QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Jan 7 2011, 01:07 AM) I have tried the ORIGINAL Silver/Silver Vapor (ordered from ElementCase)and currently trying an OEM Graphite/Graphtie Vapor (from hsienhsien)... Both same issue... similiar in GPS signal performance (although slight negligible difference in build quality) I strongly believe NOW that this is my phone problem instead of the casing... why does some phones perform better than others?? Also why is it when I put my iPhone4 side by side with other iPhone4's that I have less bars? (No casing btw)... Added on January 7, 2011, 11:20 am QUOTE(llsphinxll @ Jan 7 2011, 03:34 AM) YES my gps gives me the same problem when my iphone is installed with the vapor case. i was shocked to see papago taking forever to see where i am. any ways to solve this? Perhaps meet up with S4a and ask him to do that tape-fix.Added on January 7, 2011, 11:26 am QUOTE(giggs_509 @ Jan 7 2011, 10:40 AM) Yo giggs... you installed your back cover yet?How does it look with your vapor? Anyways... have you tried using GPS with and without the vapor? Performance same?? Added on January 7, 2011, 2:00 pmJust got my OEM Vapor yesterday and here are some photographs ... http://s.lowyat.net/uploads//attach-99/pos...-1294379603.jpg http://s.lowyat.net/uploads//attach-99/pos...-1294379666.jpg http://s.lowyat.net/uploads//attach-99/pos...-1294379643.jpg http://s.lowyat.net/uploads//attach-99/pos...-1294379678.jpg Here it is being used in conjunction with the dock extender. Now I can dock the Vapor... http://s.lowyat.net/uploads//attach-99/pos...-1294379693.jpg This post has been edited by s3an_looi: Jan 7 2011, 02:01 PM |

i'm getting really tired about forumers selling cheap goods at original pricing.
They should let ppl know... "This is a copy - not original" then put a lower price. At least buyers are aware what they are getting... really shit |

I heard that ElementCase is making a Hybrid Vapor somewhat like the Atomic Hybrid Composite case... a Vapor that doesn't affect any cell signals!

QUOTE(ssilverr82 @ Jan 11 2011, 10:56 AM) those 3M carbon fiber stickers lor, i dont use the one on the front side so i cut it up n stick it on the inner side of the Vapor. InvincibleSHIELD is also a good idea as mine is with the carbon fiber side sticker too but didnt help much so i tried this n it works just fine.. Maybe compare with a naked iPhone4 and see if there is no difference? |

QUOTE(ssilverr82 @ Jan 11 2011, 03:14 PM) [WTA] Any of u installed the metal flat or beveled back cover? is it heavier than the original glass cover? I have installed a few and even use it.The weight is negligible. That extra 1-2grams won't make a difference. I'm not sure if the weight is different but it feels the same as original. |

The signal GPS issues still persists in these OEM cases... But a cheap alternative to the expensive vapor. QUOTE(lordie @ Jan 17 2011, 12:05 PM) i agree. blade looks damn pimp and the accessories hole is a godsend, but its a bit slippery and a bit uncomfortable and it wraps around the phone nicel, but since i change to a vapor4 nickel. the matte finish of the nickel give it extra grip and the flush finish is nice to hold ;p. yeah. I love the matte vapor feel.receptions for both is good. GPS reception on the blade a bit slow to sync up but i think due to the software, google maps works fine for blade and vapor4 ni. i have an AR15-V and loving the looks of it. Looks like a phone batman would use... all black! Hey lordie, post up some photos of ur nickel man... We don't have many good nickel photos... Also here's something really weird... I used the OEM Vapor4 Carbon Back Sticker on the iPhone4... Guess what... SIGNAL DROPPED 3BARS! |

OEM Vapor.. Replica Vapor.. Fake Vapor.. same thing
I have tried ori and fake... really seriously very small difference. both also will give you gps signal problem. Reception no problem (our local providers better than US AT&T). The only thing to tell apart is the screw... even the fake/oem vapor screws are MAGNETIZED which the ori don't have. A nice touch. The ori screws look cleaner. I'd take the OEM over Ori anytime because of the price. I just got the Ar15-v because of the special wording at the side and no "vapor" wording... If the fake vapor will give the same type of wording.. I'll get it and sell of my AR15-V Here are photographs of the original AR15-V and a 'fake' V4 Carbon Back Sticker (which I think drops my signals by 2 bars...) I absolutely love the FULL BLACK! QUOTE(.M6 @ Jan 18 2011, 09:31 AM) You're a ignorant fool. Do you even know what OEM means? It means "original equipment manufacturer". It is not the same as replica/fake/pirated. Oh kaaay.. chill man... Small matter no need to get all excited about it Anyways I just meant that we refer to the same product when using those words. Either way... the manufacturs VapoReplica did a really good job! |
