If i'm not mistaken Honda will launch the 250r at Honda dream night happening this 18 December. Don't know about the 150r.
IMO,The difference between the 150 and 250 is the chassis only.
If demand is high, chances that the 150 will enter our country is high(cross figers ) The reason of Honda creating the 250r is because, lookin' at the the Kawasaki ninja 250r success with the 250 market, Honda want it's slice of cakes too.

FYI both the CBR 150 & 250 uses Single cylinder engine. So a great usable torque is available. However, for the 250r the hp is lesser than the ninja but it got better torque count to redeem it. The 250 also got ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) the first of it's kind in the 250 market. BTW power to weight ratio does matter here and the Ninja is weightier than the CBR 250 considering the heavy ABS module that the it has to carry.

For the 150 it got better horsepower (19hp if i'm not mistaken) and torque figure than the last one. Fuel delivery is now changed from old carburettor to the new PGM-FI and this means better FC. It also looks muscular and sturdier with the new bigger fairing rather than the it's predecessor slim design fairing. It is also cosmetically different than the old one. From what i observe, it is still retaining the old chassis. In terms of spec, power & performance, the CBR 150 surpassed all the 150 4 stroke bike in Malaysia (still in production)
namely
1. Suzuki Belang R150= 16 hp
2. Yamaha FZ150i = 14.88
3. old CBR 150 = 18.7 hp
4.Kawsaki KLX 150= 12hp

So truth to be hold that Honda is for Horsepower worshippers!! Even the old CBR still pawn them all.

Will update the specs later !!!

Hope my info is useful for u all!!! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Nope. not to me. C'mon man, 2 stroke is vanishing and soon to be extinct from this world. Even Moto 3 will start using 250cc 4 stroke in 2011. Even Aprilia the maker of Rs 125 2 stroke has made the Rs 4 4 stroke bike to replace it. That's a sign that 2 stroke engine is dying. Bye-bye 2t, Hi 4t... rclxm9.gif

Yeah the design is more to VFR but the name is CBR. I think Honda don't want put the name as 'VFR' cause afraid it will lost market. 250cc is mostly young people's market (rookie). Hence young people=CBR laugh.gif

BTW, IF i'm not mistaken the VFR name is only for V4 engined bike only rite like the vfr400,800,1200 etc. enlighten me on this

Yup...all legendary V4 engined bike by Honda are in VFR family....it consisted long range of model such as VFR800 Interceptor sport tourer/naked bike,a homoglation world superbike special RC30-RC45,The small VFR400( NC30-NC45) & the new gen sport tourer VFR850 VTEC & this new VFR1200F....but weird as it seem RC45 cant do the job to win the WSBK title so the new breed of Vtwin sportbike called VTR1000 launched in 2001 using a same chassis designation, that is RC-51...

Hopefully as malaysian we got more choice of 150cc & 250cc bike for our market....heard suzuki also xoming with GSF250 naked bike & GSX250....

I'm just send email to Hong Leong Yamaha and they said next year probably had planned to introduce new bike but not mention what bike or model to introducing in Malaysia. But I hope YZF R15, FZ 16 and YZF 250 will be in list.

Did you take this from MBC ?
Lol, the size of CBR 150 & Ninja were about the same. Seen this pics last week. CBR so beautiful. I've fallen in love wub.gif with it since first sight. I surely gonna buy this. blush.gif

BTW the performance of CBR 150 & 250 is about the same base on sources from the web.
The hp to weight ratio is exactly the same but torque to weight ratio the 250 betters the 150 by a small margin of 0.03 kg/m. dunno this info is true or not. but many say yes. shocking.gif rclxub.gif

I personally don't think that Honda is to stupid to do that shakehead.gif shakehead.gif . When will this bike enter Malaysia? Hopefully it doesn't take ages like it's predecessor (crossfinger). BS You heard this!!!!!! vmad.gif notworthy.gif

Maintenance costs, road-tax, market demand and ability to buy more lead to cbr 150 Pgm-fi than cbr 250r. So, it relevant to bring this bike first and then cbr 250r. thumbup.gif

Added on November 16, 2010, 2:28 amIs it true the old CBR 150R was stop production by Boon Siew Honda ? Any info guys ? hmm.gif

Unfortunately, BSH currently do not have any plan to launch the New Honda CBR 150R in Malaysia. They want to focus on Honda CBR 250R market. But will consider it. The conclusion is How long we should wait ? This bike more reasonable and cheaper than CBR 250R. Not all peoples capable to buy CBR 250R.
