If i'm not mistaken Honda will launch the 250r at Honda dream night happening this 18 December. Don't know about the 150r.
IMO,The difference between the 150 and 250 is the chassis only.
If demand is high, chances that the 150 will enter our country is high(cross figers ) The reason of Honda creating the 250r is because, lookin' at the the Kawasaki ninja 250r success with the 250 market, Honda want it's slice of cakes too.
FYI both the CBR 150 & 250 uses Single cylinder engine. So a great usable torque is available. However, for the 250r the hp is lesser than the ninja but it got better torque count to redeem it. The 250 also got ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) the first of it's kind in the 250 market. BTW power to weight ratio does matter here and the Ninja is weightier than the CBR 250 considering the heavy ABS module that the it has to carry.
For the 150 it got better horsepower (19hp if i'm not mistaken) and torque figure than the last one. Fuel delivery is now changed from old carburettor to the new PGM-FI and this means better FC. It also looks muscular and sturdier with the new bigger fairing rather than the it's predecessor slim design fairing. It is also cosmetically different than the old one. From what i observe, it is still retaining the old chassis. In terms of spec, power & performance, the CBR 150 surpassed all the 150 4 stroke bike in Malaysia (still in production)
1. Suzuki Belang R150= 16 hp
2. Yamaha FZ150i = 14.88
3. old CBR 150 = 18.7 hp
4.Kawsaki KLX 150= 12hp
So truth to be hold that Honda is for Horsepower worshippers!! Even the old CBR still pawn them all.
Will update the specs later !!!
Hope my info is useful for u all!!!
