from the pics i could see that the shattered n terpelanting part is the lower right part...when airbag is deployed, it will come out straight upwards and push any shattered parts aside from its way so to say that the shattered parts could endanger driver might not be true as well...

senang citer camni aaa...airbag deploy...serpihan tepi2 ujung stereng tu mcm agak mustahil nk terbang direct ke driver n membahayakan driver sebabnya airbag yg bapak besar tu da cover most of the driver punye muka n badan...

remember that this car has been equipped with SRS system which has undergo many testing before being released and clear to production...in terms of deployment wise it might accidentally triggered due to the clockspring error but in other safety measure i believe it manage to pass with flying colours...at least ada airbag...aku just ada dadabag je wakakakakka

Kinda agree with ur explaination regarding the terplanting part tp serpihan tu yg terplanting dulu sblm airbag cover kite kan?.
Owh...proton staff..when i argue with them that i came to replace the clockspring before and already months,they said itu bukan kite bang,kite dah order tapi proton tak hantar2 lagik..

Tol jugak..takkan la PROTON nak kuarkan tanpa R&D...aku rase camni la,saper2 nak airbag dalam kete, kene tau risiko dia..duit,consequenses..kete aku pon takder airbag so kene drive slow2 aje..

ala ada airbag ni kena tolerate pros n cons la...the airbag itself is great to reduce the fatality damage to the driver but of course some minor bruises here and there to be expected...if ure wearing spectacles then lagi risk because the spectacles could be smashed to ur face and cause some bruises as well...tapi at least dia avoid any further damage to the body la kan...

with regards to the proton staff i guess that's all bullsh|t la...mana ada ora dah salah nak mengaku they would pin point to others etc...logic thinking la kalau dah order kata la harini submit order pakai conventional pos...3 hari sampai la dekat proton main hq and dari main hq ke ppc kata la pakai pos jugak 3 hari sampai...pastu dekat ppc kata la process2 3 hari utk approve and hantar barang ke edar hq...pastu dari edar hq proses lagi 3 hari seblom anta ke branch...total baper hari je? plg lama 2 minggu...tu pon aku ckp byk pakai conventional system pakai pos...skang sume order online or at least pakai fax...plg lama pon sepatutnya 4-5 hari je...or bagi la seminggu alang2 nak tunggu kan...lebih dari seminggu is bullsh|t...dhla ko area central...edar hq(COSE) pon kt central...proton part center(PPC) pon kt central...

After jumpstart until booster cable keluar asap, i drove nonstop for 2 hrs..

But im still curious/scared if soon kong again..
Do i need to send the battery for charging? For how many hrs?

finally. my car is now in the workshop for some minor repairs due to accident last 2 months

Relax bang...i knew they are just pin pointing...mmg btol pon dah slh mana nak ngaku.I asked for the order no/receipt number/date of when they ordered my clockspring and they said tomrw we'll call and inform but dah 2 hari x infom2 pon.....relax2

Now,i'm just waiting patiently for my case to be resolved.Hopefully next week my gentu bley jln..
