Hi all, I just bought a new Gen2 CPS....
Not so satisfied with the ICE.... would like to change a new HU, but worry the steering remote control not functioning after install the new HU.

Is anyone of gen2 owner has made this modification and the steering remote control is working perfectly?

Any brand of HU is recommended? JVC? Pioneer? Jz need better sound, price below RM 500 will do. I already have a cheap amp and woofer (donno the brand) from previous car.

anyone encounter any problems with their gen2 cps mc3?how bout the quality wise?is it better compared to the prev gen2?i'm planning to change my ride with this one..

How bout persona HU sound quality ? better than the ori gen2 HU ? Do you know how much is persona HU selling price?

If want to continue to use the buttons on steering, you will have to install an adaptor .. go to stereo shops, they should have it. The adaptor takes the signal from your ori wiring then converts it into IR signals so that the HU can be controlled. For this to happen , the HU needs to have RC function. The clarity of the ori HU is lacking and the best way to improve clarity is changing the HU, furthermore the ori player do not have RCA line out so using hi-lo converters to your amps somehow do not bring out the best sound clarity. But if you are the basshead type and not too concerned abt SQ, the ori HU with amps to sub is good enough.

How much the adapter usually cost? 
if using 3rd party HU and the steering wheel control can be use back then would be perfect match lor
