rm3.48 was the point, but it pivoted at 3.46.

Don't understand the above. I thought even after index is calculate using the ref price of the index component stocks? Ex-date got effect to the index? I doubt so, unless their calculation are so screwed.

but then again whats the fuss whether the index closes above/below 1500? life or death? unsure.gif

If the article is correct, meaning any index counter declaring huge div payout will impact the counters. If everyday got one declare......then every day got aunties and uncles sold their belonging cheap cheap to the sharks due to fear - which is not good for them.

I was looking at AIB stronger rivals Bank of Ireland for a week or two. End up too chicken to buy it, cause, long term wise, their picture is still struggling due to the flight of deposit to UK and increase in funding cost from debt issuance to replace the deposit. They now need to borrow at rates of 8-10%, meaning, to do successful spread banking, they will need to loan out money to people at at least 12-13%. So, no one will want to borrow at such a rate.
