Hi everyone, i'm still new here. smile.gif

First of all, i just got my Samsung Galaxy S GT i9000 just a month ago before 2 days ago i bricked my phone. It happens when i was using the GST Tweakers (SGT application) to change the unlock screen, where it says to choose the firmware *JP6 something like that*. And it even says something it will change in the folder and it have the options "break my phone". When i pressed it, my phone suddenly reboot and i'm stuck in the "Galaxy S GT i9000" screen and only the startup sound can be heard. Yes, i do root my phone with the update.zip and it actually working fine until the moment i used the app.And for your information, i still can go to the Boot Recovery mode (Volume Up,Power and Home Button) and also to the Download mode. It's just i found out that my laptop cannot detect phone. When i turned on to the Recovery mode, it only says " Please insert the driver E: " *something like this.

Is my problem is fixable? Please help me. I really look forward for you guys to help me in this matter. I'm still new with the phone somehow, and doesn't know
much in repairing this problem .

Thanks for visiting.

You can always use odin to flash back to stock rom if it's just a soft brick. Check the SGS thread for the procedures.

You need to register and log in to access the firmwares

Odin3 software and .PIT file
http://www.samfirmware.com/apps/auth/login...OTECT-i9000.htm

How to flash new firmware:
You’ll need the following to flash the phone:
- ODIN 3 version 1.0 (flash program)
- .PIT file (the boot file of the phone)
- USB cable

1. Make sure you have Odin3 and the firmware ready.
2. Turn off your phone and take out/remove any memory card and sim card.
3. Go to Download Mode by holding/pressing Volume Down+Home Button + Power Button until the screen show up Download Mode with Android logo in working like this

4. Open Odin3 at your pc and plug the micro USB from you pc to your phone.
5. It will detect your USB and show your USB port number with yellow background(COM7) like this(ignore the Message):

6. Make sure you place all the firmware files(PDA,CSC,MODEM) and .pit files into Odin3
PDA = CODE
MODEM = PHONE
CSC = CSC
You can download the .pit files from Samsung-Firmware website too..
7. Click Start and the flash will be in progressing..
8. After finished,  your phone will be reboot(take some time) and you have successfully flashed your phone.

DXJG4 Firmware
http://www.multiupload.com/4EQOPSH2P6

You need 7z to unzip.
There are 4 files in it; the CODE, MODEM, CSC and PIT513 file.
There is no necessity to put the MODEM into phone and CSC into the csc of Odin3, because CODE tar file already included these 2 items.
Please use PIT513, with Re-partition checked.
If you use PIT512, it will fail.
P/S: Swype contains bahasa indonesia and melayu. useful for our malay friends.
Locale we have english us and uk, bahasa indonesia, melayu, tieng viet, thai, koren and mandarin. would be useful for those who knows viet and thai.
