hi.. thanks for the input..
may i know wat ram are you using with that mobo?? is it true that we cant use 1600mhz rams on am3 proc eg. phenomx2 555 even though the mobo supports 1600mhz rams by default.. |

looks like i got a lot of things to learn from u..
those 2 type of rams are both 1600mhz rams right? from HERE, the 1st few post said that am3 proc only support up to 1333mhz rams.. i'm confuse... at 1st, i'm thinking of buying this board and paired it with team xtreme 1600mhz ram.. now, i'm not sure what to buy.. and my supplier got limited choice of rams, mainly team and apacer.. my purpose of buying this mobo is to OC and unlock my proc. to around 3.6ghz(hopefully) will be good enough dy cos i'm totally clueless in OCing.. my spec will be the same as my signature except for mobo, rams n cpu cooler which i bought noctua d-14 dy. what do u think.. thanks.. |

i manage to find the cpu temperature in the bios and it stated there 50+- celcius and i'm actually using noctua nh-d14. is the temp. acceptable for using such cooler?? |

thanks guys..
appreciate all gurus replies. whats your ambient temp? in a/c room? mine is in non a/c room which sometimes temps are as high as 29-30c. i've reseat my cooler and the temps are still almost the same.. 40-45c on idle and 50c on games. hvt tried any stress test yet as the middle fan of the nh-d14 was faulty, took it to RMA.. BTW, @MSI-my whats the highest tdp 990fxa-gd65 can handle? and if crossfire, both lanes running at x16? or x8,x8? or x16,x4? all this details was not written in the website nor the manual.. thanks.. |

i guess i will only update it when i get a bulldozer.. the mobo is working fine ATM.. 1 more thing.. if i update bios for gd-65 from old version straight to let say in future version 19.9.. will i still get all the updates from 19.1-19.8?? meaning skipping the update.. |

after i enabled OC genie, the column for unlock core will gray out and i cant change anything on it.. btw, after enabled OC genie II, oc genie lite & core unlocking will automatically change to enabled.
when i 1st get this mobo, i enabled core unlocking in bios b4 and it keep on crashing once i got into windows for few minutes. surprisingly i enabled OC genie II, everything looks fine, no crash pass an hour OCCT test. and i hvt use the core unlocker in bios since.. one more thing.. everytime i enabled OC genie II and save & reset, it will never boot into windows, the screen will just stayed black until i press the casing reset button baru it boot into windows.. may i know why.. |
