i think you have to upgrade your motherboard bios inorder to detect new device, i suffer that when i use P8P67 Pro old bios and unable to detect my creative elite pro sound card, but updating Bios solve it and able to detect my sound card device back.just to clarify something, the sound card that came with the mobo can only be used on PCI_E1 lane only right? you can try to update to latest motherboard bios and try again.
