i rather have my battery spoil rather than having to redo all my work if there's any sudden electric trip.. i think the battery wont overcharge.. i have a spare battery for my laptop which i seldom use an they both now have almost the same capacity of storing the charge which will run my laptop not more than 45minutes.

everytime i switch on my laptop when it shut down due to no batt it will ask whether to startup windows normally or safe mode.. so i think if you use the laptop till no batt it will cause sudden shut down, just like you switch off the plug of your desktop which is harmful i guess?

QUOTE(peterscm @ Nov 24 2010, 01:45 PM) I noticed Win7 hibernation and resume function having bugs in it. XP does not have this resume bugs. Vista resume is slow but if not mistaken, does not have Win7 resume bugs. I have tested on diff notebooks / netbooks..all having problem resuming windows back to working condition. After resume back, it does not restore back original desktop setting and the whole system become slows. Even on high end notebook like A42Ja with 6GB RAM. One thing I notice too. Recent years notebook (HP and Asus that I'm using) does not keep on charging battery. Once the battery is full, it will stop charging. It will start charing once the battery level drop below 95%. I have an old HP notebook, DV5000 series. After 4 years, battery still can last 1 hour if not mistaken (need to test it out again to confirm). I never take out the battery and the AC adaptor always connect to the notebook. The question is the battery quality..how good/long it can holding the power before drop below 95%. my dell drop until 85% only it will charge.. maybe different brand come with different setting?
