all battery are same manufacture, dell and compaq are using same battery with 6cell and same manufacture, is sell how to take care of it only

while your observation is true, i think it is the heat that kill the battery. most new notebook stop charging after it reached 100%. my notebook will not charge if i just use a few % of battery. in battery status i can see "97% not charging" even if i plug in.

For battery, i always take out. So far, my Acer laptop battery works just fine. But my compaq laptop's battery spoiled already.

It really depend on your luck and your action as well. Sometimes, you won't be able to do anything if you are really unlucky.

As new laptop keep plug in also no problem de, and battery dont finish all the power, even though used 10%, charge back to 100%

I actually wanted to ask about the laptop battery's warranty. But i forgot to type the "battery" word.

Been using my ASUS A6F A6000 with battery installed while plugged in to mains since I bought it in 2007. Haven't changed my battery yet and I can still use my laptop with the battery only many times. I'm not sure what I did was right but my battery has not failed me .. yet.

Tips to stretch battery life:
1. Use ur laptop battery until almost 0%
2. After rechanging ur battery until 100% , u better unplug AC power (A good attitude?)
3. If u want to use for gaming, u better use AC power
4. Avoid heat that could spoil ur laptop battery
5. If you have the choices to use AC or DC, u should always use AC instead of DC

cuz batts have charge cycle de ... that is why frequent charge will render the batt unusable when approaching the end of the cycle charge.

Lets say the batt for example has 3000 cycle charge... means each time the batt encounters a charge then it minus 1 cycle charge. So even ur batt is in 100%, and you plug the power cord to ur notebook and that would cost you 1 cycle charge gone. So always advise to remove batt before plug in power.
