yesterday's game was awful in my opinion. United doesn't seems to get a goal at all in first 60 minutes. but it was a great comeback from the team, another dropped point, hopefully both of them drop point as well. wink.gif

I thought soccernet said that Lindegaard will be replacing VDS and De Gea will be replacing Tomasz Kuszczak, no?
here is the article, read the bold sentence.

Lindegaard set to join United

Manchester United are expected to complete the signing of Aalesunds goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard in the coming days.

Anders Lindegaard could be the man to replace Edwin van der Sar

United are believed to have agreed a fee in the region of £3.5 million for Denmark goalkeeper Lindegaard, 26, after he impressed the club's goalkeeping coach, Eric Steele, over the course of several scouting trips.

Aalesunds chairman Bjarne Haagensen confirmed to TV2 that he has travelled to England along with the club's chief executive, Henrik Hoff, this week to hold talks.

"Henrik and I are in place in Manchester," he said. Asked if a deal was close, he replied: "It is. We are in the middle of it. I can't say more right now. We will send a press release in three or four hours."

Lindegaard added on Sporten.dk: "I don't know if I have played my last match for Aalesunds. My plan is to move on now."

The news follows a report in England that claimed United were also close to a £15 million deal for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea.

De Gea, 20, has earned praise for his performance over the last year and it was claimed both he and Lindegaard would sign up to replace Edwin van der Sar and Tomasz Kuszczak.

However, Atletico president Enrique Cerezo insists there have been no talks and they have no intention of selling the player.

"Nobody has spoken with us," he said in AS. "Nor do I have any idea (about this matter). We hope that he will be a Rojiblanco player for a long time."

De Gea is under contract until 2013.

cool, one paper says were on hot pursuit of de gea the other says another man tongue.gif .

just a thought tho what if vds extends, anyone thought about that??i doubt any of these claimed good keepers want to leave their current starting role and warm the bench.the only way i see us buying a new gk is, if tom decides to leave and vds calls it a day.

partly agree with your point of view, bro.
from my point of view, I think is good to see vds extend and at the same time we can bring in new goalkeeper.
this is because not every players can adapt to a game so fast and therefore, if VDS extend his stay then
it could buy the new goalkeeper some time to adapt.

honestly saying, United are still finding their peak form. They play dully in the first half, no real penetration nor threat to opponent. I don't really get it why SAF need to play 4-5-1, given it is a home game, shouldn't he play a more attacking formation? Well, he is the Don anyway, I am nobody to question about his tactic. But overall, the game is good but not great yet, I believe the team will find their peak form soon. Is a good win in my opinion.

I hope that Rooney will get to play for the Champions League tie, in order to get match fitness.
