Hey guys, I started using this phone 2 days ago and im wondering why my prepaid credit have been disappearing mysteriously, i didn't use the internet but it reduced for a few ringgit each day.

I'm wondering whether there's anything running in the background that uses internet data and thus costing me quite some bucks..if there is how to disable it? I'm clueless when it comes to smartphones..thanks in advance

inside my mobile network setting only got

Data roaming - off
APN - inside got digi internet and digi MMS..dont have packet data
Network mode - auto mode
Network Operators

Erm, I press power button for 2 seconds..only got 3 options..silent mode, flight mode and turn off..lol

Any other way to turn it off?

Hmm..any other way other than installing apps? I dont have internet access..at cc now..lol..

Can like shut down manually in phones?

1. On the Android phone, press on HOME > MENU button and then tap Settings.
2. Tap on Wireless & networks or Wireless controls.
3. Tap on Mobile networks or Mobile network settings.
4. Tap on Access Point Names.
5. On the APNs screen, press MENU button and then tap New APN.
6. In the Edit access point screen, enter the APN settings by tapping on the APN setting item to edit it.

Set the Name to a random fake name, such as Off.
Set the APN to a random fake value, such as blank.
Other items can be left blank.
7. Press MENU button and then tap Save to save the settings to phone.
8. A new APN will be shown. Press the circle to the right of the new APN to select it as the active APN.


I followed the above steps and done now..hopefully it doesnt suck up my credit anymore..anyway what effect will it have if i disable APN? Can still access wifi and internet?

eh when downloading something from the market...it says

This application has access to the following:

Network communication
Phone Calls...
etc etc etc

Just press ok and install right?

After that i waited for like 5-10 mins and the status is still "Starting download..."
How come?

@mengsuan : I click ok but it just wont download...after 10 mins still shows "Starting downloading" how come?

can't use android market still..damn...

how does samsung apps work? is it good?

Hmm, the download just won't start and I already tried clearing cache..

Didnt do anything with it..I just bought a few days ago..didn't do any upgrades/flashing..

Anyway, I can use the android market already..dont know why i can't use it in hostel...went to starbucks just now and download works fine..swt

How come when I go task manager my Random Access Memory(RAM) is only 326 instead of 512..

Eh my kernel version is 2.6.29 then below it got root@SE-S604 # 2..means what? Is my phone rooted? lol..

If it's rooted then how come? Cause i didn't do anything after purchasing it..

How come my storage on program keeps on increasing little by little even when Im not installing anything...left it overnight and the storage increased from 44mb/1.87gb to 46mb/1.87gb. Is this consider as normal?

Guys, why when i view my music files in folder..i can read the character..but when i open using music player..some weird character pops up..is there a way to solve this problem?
