QUOTE(lch78 @ Nov 15 2010, 12:01 PM) The latest update of LaucherPro is sucking battery big time. Ver 0.8.1.1 really? Im using it too.. but first time using this LauncherPro, dunno if it sucks too much battery life than previous version.I check & monitor and found that it is using CPU power alot.. It was fine previously, only using 2% of full charge before now. Now, I find that it is using 15% of my full charge |

QUOTE(sengasdf @ Nov 15 2010, 01:06 PM) Check CPU usage with Android System Info app, found out 2 processes of Launcher pro is running 100%... but Total CPU usage was not 100%, only 20-30%... okay, since Im using LauncherPro and WidgetLocker, those two process should not be killed/stopped right? in samsung Task Manager only show those two.. will try that Android System Info app later Im still newbie with Android (just bought 2 days earlier) |

QUOTE(lch78 @ Nov 15 2010, 03:45 PM) These 2 process is listed as "android.process.acore". When I expand, the status is "background" and package is "com.fede.launcher" yep, got 2 android.process.acore with 100%. detected with the Android System Info.Is it the same thing we are talking about here? edit:killed all app, and startthe Android system Info back, only one proecees.acore with 0%. will monitor when it'll spike to 100% nice found : http://code.google.com/p/adw-launcher-andr...s/detail?id=165 This post has been edited by four_add: Nov 15 2010, 05:59 PM |

QUOTE(lch78 @ Nov 16 2010, 08:11 AM) Your result is almost same like me. haha.. at first, I thought this was normal for a smartphone.. (first time using it)But I got tweetdeck and emails syncing at night, so when i wake up it is like 30% gone.. I put to flight mode it is still 25% gone, coz I think some widgets is trying to online and this consumes battery. I kill LP and keep and tweetdeck and emails syncing, today wake up 20% gone. The 3 scenarios above is without WIFI on. Miss the days when I woke up it is only 5% gone.. read from xda, and some of them says ts because changing the rts to ext as if faster rom results in consume more battery. |

QUOTE(lch78 @ Nov 16 2010, 09:38 AM) Yea. It is normal to me. Charging once a day is minimum I guess. yes, it is fast alrite ext4 consume more power?? Maybe, but it worth the change.. quote from xda : QUOTE maybe a different modem helps. i think i've seen some users reporting that JPM or even JPD work better (also in terms of battery). just what is this jpm/jpd/jpp ? |

QUOTE(maximus7 @ Nov 17 2010, 07:59 AM) hi SGS users, IMO, when it reaces 100% it'll stop chargelast time when i charged my SGS overnite it will be 100% when i unplugged it, now it is only 85%, it stopped charging when it reaches 100% and the battery drops from there onwards....is this a problem or it is normal? pls help , thanks any background apps thats still running..widgets consumes battery. yesterday my battery drop from 100% to 75% from unplug at 11.00 pm till 5.30 am. but after removing power hungry widgets and lagfix, it only drop 1% from 1.00 am to 6.00am. try to check using the partial wake too.. QUOTE(justamember @ Nov 17 2010, 08:32 PM) I followed the above steps and done now..hopefully it doesnt suck up my credit anymore..anyway what effect will it have if i disable APN? Can still access wifi and internet? AFAIK, if you disable the 3G APN (be it from Maxis or DiGi), you cant use 3g but still can use WiFi.a bit OT : » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |
