The latest update of LaucherPro is sucking battery big time. Ver 0.8.1.1
I check & monitor and found that it is using CPU power alot..

It was fine previously, only using 2% of full charge before now.

Now, I find that it is using 15% of my full charge
*
really? Im using it too.. but first time using this LauncherPro, dunno if it sucks too much battery life than previous version.

Check CPU usage with Android System Info app, found out 2 processes of Launcher pro is running 100%... but Total CPU usage was not 100%, only 20-30%...
*
okay, since Im using LauncherPro and WidgetLocker, those two process should not be killed/stopped right?
in samsung Task Manager only show those two.. will try that Android System Info app later smile.gif
Im still newbie with Android (just bought 2 days earlier) laugh.gif

These 2 process is listed as "android.process.acore". When I expand, the status is "background" and package is "com.fede.launcher"

Is it the same thing we are talking about here?
*
yep, got 2 android.process.acore with 100%. detected with the Android System Info.

edit:killed all app, and startthe Android system Info back, only one proecees.acore with 0%.
will monitor when it'll spike to 100%

wake up at 5.30 am, and it already 75%
at 7.20 am, at 70%

so terrible.. rclxub.gif have to charge again at noon.

Your result is almost same like me. haha..

But I got tweetdeck and emails syncing at night, so when i wake up it is like 30% gone..  shocking.gif

I put to flight mode it is still 25% gone, coz I think some widgets is trying to online and this consumes battery.

I kill LP and keep and tweetdeck and emails syncing, today wake up 20% gone.

The 3 scenarios above is without WIFI on.

Miss the days when I woke up it is only 5% gone..
*
at first, I thought this was normal for a smartphone.. (first time using it)

read from xda, and some of them says ts because changing the rts to ext rclxub.gif
as if faster rom results in consume more battery.

Yea. It is normal to me. Charging once a day is minimum I guess.

ext4 consume more power?? Maybe, but it worth the change..  brows.gif

maybe a different modem helps. i think i've seen some users reporting that JPM or even JPD work better (also in terms of battery).

just what is this jpm/jpd/jpp ? rclxub.gif

if i'm not mistaken JPM/JPD/JPP refers to the "official" firmware from samfirmare website not a custom ROM

no issue so far to me.. need to charge once a day. tat's true.. but I don't have 25% drain when I sleep!! shocking.gif  it only drained 5% for me, wifi off 2g
*
thats because I enable the lagfix.
right now have disable the lagfix, and after one hour still at 100% biggrin.gif no droppings yet. (still have to monitor tho)
and will install the jpd modem later, hope to get better battery life. flex.gif

hi SGS users,
last time when i charged my SGS overnite it will be 100% when i unplugged it, now it is only 85%, it stopped charging when it reaches 100% and the battery drops from there onwards....is this a problem or it is normal?
pls help , thanks
*
IMO, when it reaces 100% it'll stop charge
any background apps thats still running..widgets consumes battery.

yesterday my battery drop from 100% to 75% from unplug at 11.00 pm till 5.30 am.
but after removing power hungry widgets and lagfix, it only drop 1% from 1.00 am to 6.00am.

try to check using the partial wake too.. (spare parts app)

I followed the above steps and done now..hopefully it doesnt suck up my credit anymore..anyway what effect will it have if i disable APN? Can still access wifi and internet?
*
AFAIK, if you disable the 3G APN (be it from Maxis or DiGi), you cant use 3g but still can use WiFi.
a bit OT :
