So sad. |

QUOTE(dualpack @ Nov 22 2010, 10:21 PM) haha... my streamyx suddenly gone crazy last night when I was downloading the binary file, it disconnected halfway and I've to re-connect it back. It happened twice and meant that I've to start downloading all over again twice Apparently I'm quite bad luck also. My KIES update is stuck at 94%, extracting and installing files...(16/18) for quite some time now. Not sure if it's supposed to take so long to extract and install the files. Will leave it for a while cos I have to go out. If I come back still stuck at the same status.... Edit: Firmware is updated, but seems like it's taking a lot time to connect my phone! Shoooot! The upgrade to FroYo has failed on my phone! Woke up just now to find KIES telling me that the upgrade has failed and need to do firmware recovery (home+vol down+power). Just rebooted and now it's at the flashing S screen. I hope nothing goes wrong la...use KIES also can fail upgrade.

QUOTE(atinko @ Nov 23 2010, 06:10 AM) Apparently the Android digging icon is the recovery mode. I managed to recover the firmware and it rebooted into Froyo. What a huge relief. All my apps are intact, which is a surprise. Is it absolutely necessary to do a factory reset? If yes, do I do it in the (Vol Up+Home+Power) 2e method or is there any other way? Thanks! And my Swype settings is wonky. I don't want it to show the trace, but despite me ticking or unticking the "show complete trace" option, it will still have the blue trail! QUOTE(MYstombox @ Nov 23 2010, 07:58 AM) Anyone on froyo has found that once you enter GSM mode, cannot go back to 3G mode? No problem here as well. In the beginning, it was quite difficult for me to connect to mobile network, so I uninstalled my APN on/off widget and just relied on the inbuilt toggle. After about 30 mins, I tried again, and it was back to normal.I am on DXJPA Also, I find it difficult to establish data connection. I have switchpro installed. Btw, is the factory data reset option in phone the same as the factory reset/wipe data option in recovery 2e mode? Which should I choose if I want to reset the phone after upgrading to FroYo? Thanks!
