guys...im on eclair now, and cant really do any flashing bravely because my 3 Button recovery is disabled already. I want to know, if i do the registry hack and upgrade to froyo, will it give back the 3 button recovery???...because if it does, then i can go n flash any flavours i want out there....

just done 3 Button recovery fix , using method by RazvanG...next gonna update Froyo Official, btw, do i need to unroot?

not really MUST work, but i choose to fix the 3 button first using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=821698

it was a very simple procedure to do(about 5 mins to get it done), so, i tot of just getting it done first. I believe if your phone has this 3 button disabled and you choose to update Froyo, the recovery will be 3e , which is abit harder to fix the 3 button recovery.

hi guys, initiated Froyo upgrade via Kies....i have downloaded the binaries stage...now into Download Mode automaticly, but on Kies it say "Failed to convert to upgrade mode, please try later".

what shall i do now??

Edited: Just restarted the phone and then start the whole procedure again, then phone was stuck in S logo. Reboot into recovery and wipe cache partition. Now, working fine...still exploring

I just recently enabled the three button recovery on my phone and also upgrade to latest official froyo. Planning to go down three flashing road. Been looking at docs rom and kernel upgrade. Looks like I have to change to change to clock work mod recovery. Right now on 3e.will I be able to come back to original 3e recovery if I want to????

Just want to able to come back to stock as out would give me lees headache in case of warranty.

planning to flash adjp5 v8 of docs. I guess that's ok for our sgs.
