Guys...Im on stock sms and JG4..how do i prevent my sms turning into a multimedia message after typing around 4 msg in one?it seems annoying.

Guys wanna ask since official froyo is out..do i nid an app to backup everything?eg.my installed apps and all the data saves in it.if yes wht app is suitable for me to use?and how i do backup phone contacts and all?sorry noob here
