QUOTE(chunpang @ Nov 18 2010, 10:22 PM) Thanks a lot. you mean to say the official froyo for south east asia is already out ?By the way, my phone had never been rooted before. What's is the best app to use for backup ? Upgrade to official Froyo without do factory setting makes my phone actually quite laggy. Some of the apps don't work properly or slow.. My Quadrant Score on Eclair : 700 ++ Quadrant Score on Froyo : 800 ++ Certain things does seems to be faster compare to Eclair, i.e. the browser. The battery life are slightly improved. I'll do the restore factory setting and see how it goes! |

QUOTE(callmepaper @ Nov 19 2010, 04:33 PM) @silentser and @plaz callmepaper, thank you so much for the detailed explanations. guess i will call it a day for now until i have the phone on hand. i'm sure there are more questions to ask by then. hope you guys don't mind if more questions are on the way.. haha don't worry bro, Im coming from winmo as well .. and im been using sgs only for 17 days, for the past 3 days i've been flashing countless time/hours, need sleep badly now, and after all that flashing and restoring .. then there is time to test software one by one (apps and games). p/s: personally for me .. use MyBackupPro for your backup software. |

ok .. for almost 2 hours i've been thinking ..
1. will not update to I9000DXJPA - coz i've already tried I9000ZSJPD which is i think will be not much different. the bloatware are huge. 2. will downgrade to XWJPA V7.6.2 instead of XXJPO V7.6.2 from ADJP5 V8. 3. to wait until someone skin the official our DXJPA. to all of you that are upgrading to the latest firmware .. Goodluck ... |

QUOTE(dejima @ Nov 20 2010, 02:21 AM) Hey..now i started to love touchwiz than launcherpro...i felt abit laggy while arranging/deleting icon at homescreen with launcherpro. But is super smooth with touchwiz! err .. i guess your are trying to say Launcherpro is better ... yes .. i agreed.Added on November 20, 2010, 2:24 am why downgrade from v8? downgrade becoz the battery consumption is above average .. and i've been doing a backup on every firmware .. simply put .. i don't have XWJPA backup This post has been edited by Abid: Nov 20 2010, 02:27 AM |

QUOTE(dejima @ Nov 20 2010, 02:35 AM) Launchpro also could do that .. the most important part i like about Launchpro is that you can select which is your homepage and the widget are marvelous .. homepage for touchwiz is only at 1st page .. but again ... its all about personal refferences This post has been edited by Abid: Nov 20 2010, 02:39 AM |
