using LauncherPro 8.1.1 and Doc's 7.6.2 rom

unplug at 11.00 pm last night at 100% then go sleep
wake up at 5.30 am, and it already 75%
at 7.20 am, at 70%

so terrible..  rclxub.gif  have to charge again at noon.

was thinking of flashing to this ROM today as advised by Ken2291 but now that you mentioned that it sucks the battery then i might not. battery life is important to me and i believe to most of us

Your result is almost same like me. haha..

But I got tweetdeck and emails syncing at night, so when i wake up it is like 30% gone..  shocking.gif

I put to flight mode it is still 25% gone, coz I think some widgets is trying to online and this consumes battery.

I kill LP and keep and tweetdeck and emails syncing, today wake up 20% gone.

The 3 scenarios above is without WIFI on.

Miss the days when I woke up it is only 5% gone..

at first, I thought this was normal for a smartphone.. (first time using it)

read from xda, and some of them says ts because changing the rts to ext rclxub.gif
as if faster rom results in consume more battery.

Yea. It is normal to me. Charging once a day is minimum I guess.

maybe a different modem helps. i think i've seen some users reporting that JPM or even JPD work better (also in terms of battery).

if i'm not mistaken JPM/JPD/JPP refers to the "official" firmware from samfirmare website not a custom ROM

Well, i m on DOC's ROM 7.6.2 with JPD modem, i find the battery consumption is very good. The following photo with 2G, no APN, wifi on for total of 2 hours, angry birds for 1.5H. Launcherpro 8.1.1, ofcos there will be couple of video calls of total 30 mins, voice called total of 3 hours.

No need to send back to samsung... My sgs is a singtel set... and it also had 3 button combo issue. I use the Odin method... its easy and it will just take like 5 min to do it. And now i'm running Doc Froyo XXJPO v7.6.2. smile.gif

That's darned good battery life; about on par with what I was getting on Eclair. I find that the JPD modem is really efficient over Wifi but tends to suck power like crazy when you enable 3G. Despite the battery drain that I sometimes encounter, Doc's ROM flies - so much so that I'm no longer experiencing significant lags. thumbup.gif
