my wifi is on 24/7, I do regular web browsing, dictionary checking,
no music, no video, whatsapp for a while, a lil sms and phone calls

I can easily get 2 days icon_rolleyes.gif

I will however have to admit that if I am out of wifi coverage (home and uni) and on 3G, the battery drains quicker than normal,
ratio should be 2:1 2 for 3G and 1 for wifi

I bought iphone 4 also.. I don't see the point of selling since I don't need the money..

btw.. maybe my usage isn't as heavy as you guys since the discription isnt specific...

but so far..galaxy s battery seems good..

for some reason..the way you guys put it.. seems like tor phones can't even last even on stanby mode?

wa.. to be honest.. based on what I say.. my usage time only less than 4hr in 3days..and that also seem like something Impossible..i wonder if your phone is faulty..

music doesn't eat up much battery..because the screen is off and everything else is off when I listen to music

and also I felt that sgs standby time is very great...better than iphone 4 at least

i also used Spice MI-300 where could spend almost 13 Hours for surfing, online my Y.M,plays music, playing games etc.

Well,we knows that MI-300 quite low-end smart phone compared to SGS also used 2.1_Update1.

Does SAMOLED used more power? How about wave also used SAMOLED but smaller than SGS,they(my friends) can spend around 14-16 hours.

How about Froyo?Does it give a hope for us?

For me, WIFI and sync on all the time (except for my 7hrs sleep), a bit of web browsing, games for about 15 mins+??, Facebook awhile, SMS ALL THE TIME unless I'm asleep!! last for 22-24hrs. And of coz, with brightness set to lowest smile.gif

To be honest, Froyo will be the same, if so, it's oso insignificant. And no, SAMOLED uses LESS power, especially wif black colour thumbup.gif

not really, there was a discussion on this in V5 or V6 (im losing count with how fast this thread is moving), anyway you can go check back what was said then, IIRC, a comparison was made between Iphone 4 TFT display Vs S.AMOLED but still a tough call because the size is not identical. the summary was Black Screen on a S.AMOLED consumes the most least power and a white screen on S.AMOLED consumes the most compared to TFT

@ken2291:
U can actually do both way, odin or CWM, as the creator had kindly prepare for both platform. I just done mine with the CWM.

Just wonder what the different between Harcore speedmod vI1.2-250 and Ya-OK. Anyway to test them out?
